The link to the Shroud of Turin has been made showing the identical same face. The discovery is gaining prominance world wide. BREAKING NEWS: nope, it is just another fraud. Some people think God speaks to them through textiles. I don't find these late medieval fabrications convincing. The sheer number of them speaks against their authenticity. Their constuction in warp and woof and in thread types indicate late medieval origins inconsistent with the claims made for them. Catholic relics are generally documented frauds or are conveniently untestable. And then the Vatican made my very favorite relic, the Holy Prepuce, disappear because they found that one too embarrassingly medieval.
