Thanks, Fred....I do. But I also sometimes extract for paragraphs in the middle of an article. Yoy may continue to closely monitor my postings.

I would rephrase your sentence above to: If the article is too long or copyrighted, I will post excerpts of it. The good reader can click the URL for the entire article.

Thanks, Fred, I made the change you suggested. The reason I added the information block was to follow a suggestion by another member. There was some confusion that I was in agreement with an article I posted. It took a few unnecessary exchanges for him to understand that I was not. He made a great suggestion to me so that would not happen in the future. TheFireBert: Since you left out the main part of the article which gets to the conclusion, the beginning looks misleading as a call for Christians to abandon their faith to a grey, undefined, and altogether moral- less world. I see this often where posters must continually distance themselves from articles the neither support nor endorse and merely post them because of the content. I got tired of the accusations….TheFirebert suggested an excellent procedure, one that I followed. I appreciated the suggestions you have made, do you have any more? Sometimes being owed money is the best way to never see someone again. Better than being paid back. I once loaned someone $800. Never heard from them again. Well worth it when you consider how many times i would've had to put up with him. Could be about $40 a visit at this point. Good deal.

I shall interject my completely unnecessary yet indulgent opinion on the issue at hand, for the recent article posters, and the LF public at large: This concept is to be readily implied and understood that the article is to be shared as information to be dissected and conversed upon. It should be courtesy to redirect the To: block to a ping list or other participant if your comment is not intended for the OP. This should be considered "implied intent" on the relying poster's part. An alternate method to respond is to add the article's author to the To: box, avoiding the confusion altogether. Wonderful idea. Sometimes it is difficult to detect whether the reply is directed to the poster or the article's author. I would actually recommend adding a comment of your own (opinion, fact, or anything else to establish intent) along with the standard block you posted. We all become somewhat in a corrective mood when the subject is closer to the heart. It is best to put your piece out first than let your neighbor get the wrong impression. Also, skipping some content, and indicating within the article that you did so, can have the desired effect. I am always editing my comments before submitting it out of a concern that someone will take it out of context, or worse - prompt a mod to censor some of the posting or reply...

This is the problem. It is not considered or understood by many posters that their commented is directed to the author when they click on Post Comment. Often times I have seen the poster of the article reply to a comment with such: “You are saying this to (or about, etc.) the author and not me, right?” You placing Staff@CBN.com or GATLIN in the “To” block let me know EXACTLY which comments I should read and possibly comment on and which comments I am expected to read and reply to. I also noted that Post #1 was not shown because I had the poster on bozo. Wonderful idea. Sometimes it is difficult to detect whether the reply is directed to the poster or the article's author. I will repeat my response to your prior point: I am always editing my comments before submitting it out of a concern that someone will take it out of context, or worse - prompt a mod to censor some of the posting or reply... I understand. I will need to give this some thought. I post most articles because I feel they are interesting enough for others to read. Often times after I read and post an article, I have not been able to reach a conclusion as to whether I agree or disagree with the content….etc. I will come back to this point you stated: I have seen forums where there is a check block that can be used to call a moderators attention to a certain post.

Yes, it was. My comment was in retaliation to a snaky reference the poster made to me. I should be above doing this.

Your technique of placing Staff@CBN.com and GATLIN let me know EXACTLY to whom you were directing your comments. I would actually recommend adding a comment of your own (opinion, fact, or anything else to establish intent) along with the standard block you posted. We all become somewhat in a corrective mood when the subject is closer to the heart. It is best to put your piece out first than let your neighbor get the wrong impression. Also, skipping some content, and indicating within the article that you did so, can have the desired effect.
