With such … PITY and condescension in their eyes. They love me, but stay far away from any topic of a political or cultural nature. It is as if we are living in a Disney cartoon. I live near Duke University. No one has mentioned the Call to Prayer issue. They have not mentioned the French massacre. We aren’t allowed to breathe a word about the ISIS beheadings. I am made to feel like a fragile child whose compensating qualities are my ability to make a lovely home and bake them tasty pies. I am not sure they will ever wake up.

What they really should do is stand their ground and demand the Muslims be deported and blocked from immigrating.
Their unique problem is they are Jews,and the well is already poisoned in the leftist media when it comes to Jews versus Muslims. Put a Jew in conflict with a white Christian westerner,and the media will always side with the perpetual victimization of the Jews. Put a Jew in conflict with a Muslim,and these same idiots will suddenly decide that Jews are evil haters,and it is the Muslim that is the perpetual victim of the Jews.

The only logical thing, to protect their families is to get them out of harms way. A single person could play heroic bravado, a person with a family has to put their safety in front.
As you stated in your second post, it is easy for them to leave, and migrate to a safer location. It is foolish to remain.
