I live near Duke University. No one has mentioned the Call to Prayer issue. They have not mentioned the French massacre. We aren’t allowed to breathe a word about the ISIS beheadings. I am made to feel like a fragile child whose compensating qualities are my ability to make a lovely home and bake them tasty pies. I am not sure they will ever wake up.

Worldwide, Jewish immigration to Israel slowed to a trickle over the last decade. Basically, all the Jews who wanted or needed to move there had already done so.
But France has steadily risen over the last decade and it appears France's historically large Jewish population is simply headed for the doors. LP's Marguerite tried living there but the climate disagreed with her health so she returned to Paris.
The only other country from which there is more than a trickle of Jewish emigration is Ukraine, due to the unrest there with the warfare in the east and the neo-Nazi scum in the west around Lviv (where Pravoslav lived before he died last year).
