Ted Cruz (R-TX) received a ticket for being a minor in possession of alcohol in 1987, when he was a senior in high school, BuzzFeed News reported on Tuesday night. The revelation was discovered in an application, obtained by BuzzFeed, which Cruz completed for the position of Texas solicitor general back in 2003. According to the report, police found an unopened case of beer in Cruz's vehicle and issued him a ticket for the offense. “Teenagers often make foolish mistakes, and that certainly applied to me as well,” Cruz told BuzzFeed News in a statement. I think that whenever anybody digs up anything about anybody from 1987, that the person who did the digging, and everybody who assists him, should have the entire record of all of the Internet sites he has ever accessed in his whole life, and every e-mail he ever sent to anybody all released by Echelon to the public in searchable format, so that every creepy, strange or freaky thing that man or woman ever said, did or looked at through the Internet, during his entire life, is exposed to the whole world. Further, all of his tax returns and schedules should be released to the public by the IRS, and all of his grades and student records and papers should be released by all colleges and schools. Private investigators should be completely exposed to the public - every document held in any public or electronic record should be exposed, so that everybody can see everything, and probe and explore and read all of it. Either that or maybe we just draw a line under stuff that's over 7 years old and say: statute of limitations has run, don't care, don't want to know - and consider those who dig up ancient history to be the creeps they are. 1987. He can be trusted to do what he asys more then anyone else up there right now. What he wants to do is also the right thing.
