LIBERTY POST IS CLOSED All registration and posting has been disabled. Members may still log in to access their private mail. This server will remain in operation until approx. 10:00 PM Eastern Time 1/15/2015 so that LP members may save any personal mail messages or postings desired. After that time this server will be taken offline and libertypost.org will lead to a status page. This will later give way to a memorial for LP founder and moderator Sally Tlasek (AKA "Goldi-Lox") who passed away unexpectedly in November of 2014. A very sad day.
All things pass. I hope that Goldi can look back from where she now is and contnely smile over the impact that her labor has had on so many people. That is the way that I choose to remember it.
At first, I was confused with what I felt, but when the realization sunk in, that Sally really was found dead, all alone....anger and sadness were fighting with each other, I think they tied. I wasn't expecting tears when I went back there to bring this here....
She fought the good fight ... stood bold - tall for --- God - country - friends - family ! tears tears tears fight on harder harder harder !
If you ... don't use exclamation points --- you should't be typeing ! Commas - semicolons - question marks are for girlie boys !
ADDENDUM: For those who wish to make a donation in Goldi's name (Sally Tlasek) for a worthy cause that she would have supported, I would suggest the Safe Rescue animal shelter which rescued and adopted out her beloved pet to a new home. Contact and donation information may be found at their web site: Mention your donation is in honor of the rescue of "Harry the kitty!" The above was the last actual post on LP,and Sysadmin added the suggestion about donations in Harry,the kitty's name to honor all the work Goldi put into keeping a free speech web site going. For those of you who don't know,Safe Rescue is a animal organization that takes in dogs and cats that would have been euthanized,and gives them medical care,food,shelter,and finds them new homes. If for any reason a dog or cat doesn't get adopted,they just live out their natural lives there. IMHO,this is a very worthwhile charity,and since they operate entirely on donations,we should all send them a few bucks to help them keep their doors open. And since they are operating in Florida,otherwise known as "Gods Waiting Room",we all know there are a lot of elderly people with no family dying and leaving their pets behind.

Thank you, pete, for putting this up for me. I'm going to mention something here, since you did bring up adopting a cat, or dog, and then I'll drop it, because this is about Sally. We had a member who does just this in his spare time, seeks homes for these fur- babies who have been abused or abandoned, and he's been active for many years. I have two little dogs, and a cat, our fur-babies we rescued, and they love us unconditionally, and it saddens and angers me when I see them treated this way. Thanks again.

If memory serves, Harry was a stray Goldi brought in and nursed back to health and was her close companion until the end. Fitting a Gracious God found Harry a nice new home. Also fitting that Goldi took in a bunch of strays from FR and other places and gave them a home.
But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name (John 1:12)

There is now a photo of Harry,the kitty posted at the LP homepage link above for anyone that wants to see what he looks like,and so you can direct any of your pet loving friends there that might want to make a donation to the rescue center. You might take note that they also rescue dogs,and probably rabbits and other pets. It's not just cats.

I didn't see that option when I donated. I went back and found an email contact of one of the honchos. I didn't email that person. 100 bucks is for any and all pet rescues.
