Welcome to the site Devil Anse. Just so everyone knows. Devil is the moderator. He is trusted and respected by me completely. Please treat Devil with respect. Thank You
In due time. I have been here for a matter of hours. Please direct me to the last news item that you posted.
.......CRICKETS.......
I thought so. From what I can tell you haven't posted a news article in months. OTOH I have posted several on LP. And you have the nerve to call me a troll, a disruptor. You are a true inspiration and intellectual ambassador for this site. Keep up the good work. BTW, when was the last news article that you posted on LP when you where there?

The patriarch of the Hatfields (of Hatfields and McCoys fame)? That's pretty funny.
Not really. I fail to see the humor here.
I am curious as to why Stone chose to name the new moderator Devil Anse, since a moderator is purely an arbitrator or mediator. As such, he is charged with seeing that a group does what it is supposed to do and nothing more.
When relating to the name Devil Anse, it generates a question asking how a moderator can be named after a person who led his family in a feud that started when his brother was murdered and he had the three individuals responsible killed?
Devil Anse was driven by a strong and unreasoning desire for revenge. One would think a better name for a moderator or mediator would be something like Ahura Mazda, which in Persian mythology means "lord of wisdom."
If Ahura Mazda has a too foreign sounding ring to it, then he could "name his boy, Sue." It's no fun hanging out with a vindictive person like Devil Anse. Sue, is easier to handle.
It was stated on the Internet that most moderators are driven by their lust for power therefore causing suffering and hatred at every turn. I believe Stone picked the right person fitting the former, let's hope the latter doesn't happen. We all shall see.
Whatever happened to the moderator Stone had some time ago?
We aren't here necessarily for the friendships (although those can form) we're here to discuss the issues of the day, imo. -- And, for fun.
Sorry, I should have said that this is a real welcoming place. Perhaps then my sarcasim would have more meaning to you as it is based in reality. ---- Why don't you try being more welcoming, instead of lecturing?
Ahem. He was addressing the comment to me, not you.
Ahem, this is the public forum, where anyone is welcome to address any comment. -- There is a private message function you can use.
I didn't feel he was being sarcastic. --- And yes, this is a friendly place .a real friendly place.
Glad you agree. ---- Why not try to be funny, instead of sarcastic?
Someone can be very funny while at the same time be sarcastic. --- Sarcasm is funny when it is often used to belittle others, it is funny because of the word schadenfreude.
IMO, joy in the discomfort of others is rarely a funny reaction. Can you give us a humorous example?

Those can be all inclusive and not make sarcasm exclusive.
Those 'what' can be all inclusive? Please explain further.
Being sarcastic isn't nice.
Maybe, but being nasty and mean definitely isnt nice either.
I picked my own stage name for the very simple reason I figured I would end up dealing with food fights or flame wars and may have to play the heavy. That could entail me asking them to calm down, take a few days time out or find themselves a new zipcode to post at. Which by the way I don't really want to have to do but will if need be.
Put it another way what is everybody's reaction when the MODERATOR shows up? "OH S@*T here we go again".
