At the suggestion of LP user "sneakypete" I called the police department in Goldi's town to do a courtesy safety check on her. They in turn referred me to the sheriff's office where an officer duly took the information and checked on her status. It is my sad duty to report that Goldi passed away over a month ago. (Although I had known her for many years it was not unusual for me not to hear from her for a month or more if there were no LP issues.)
The circumstances are that UPS packages were piling up in front of her condo, so the management called police on November 13th to check on her. She was found deceased inside her condo unit.
The officer that I dealt with was kind, professional, and patient. He also provided me with a case number and contact where I can obtain more details during the county's normal business hours.
What this means for LP -- right now I don't know. We'll have to figure that one out.
