Season 3 of BBC's "Luther" airs tonight at 10 PM. This is a 4 night event that begins tonight. Make sure you watch or record it for the next 3 nights. For those of you who don't know, this is a BBC crime drama centered around a London homicide detective named John Luther, and it's one of the best crime drama shows that has ever been aired. The writing, directing, and acting are all 1st rate, and you never know what is going to happen from one minute to the next.
Warning! There are NO 110 pound supermodels wearing 6 inch heels and kicking the asses of a dozen bad guys by striking poses and yelling "hiyahhh!" a lot.
There are no bulletproof cops or anybody else.
While there are some attractive people on the show, forget the whole "underwear model" thing so overdone by Hollywood. All the characters look and act like real people.
AND......,just wait until you "meet" Alice.
The only flaw I can find with the program is the same flaw shared by EVERY BBC program. If there is a black guy on the show,he WILL be nailing the most attractive blonde. It's almost like there are no black women in London,or there is some kind of law requiring white women and black men to date.
John Luther was married to a brunette white woman in season one,so they obviously had to kill her off.
Oddly enough, there are no homosexual characters in the first two seasons. I have no idea if this is going to be true of season 3 or not,but it's hard to believe BBC will air a program that doesn't have their mandatory homosexual relationship.
I had to quit watching Torchwood when the homosexual characters on the team began to outnumber the heterosexual team members, and every episode seemed to be more about homo dating and flirting than it did fighting aliens. The show is so good I watch it despite BBC being so PC.
