You bet, harrowup, from my own g-mother. I loved it when she'd tell us she was doing the 'trading', she never said 'shopping', it was always 'the trading'. I asked my husband if elders spoke this way when he was growing up in new yawk state, he said they did, just with a different accent...lol

After his enlistment in the Navy was up, he came home (1970), not long after he met a local business man from my home state who was building a Mall here and hired him. We never met till about easter the next year, through a friend of mine who's husband worked with him. We married five months later.
