I want to create an organization. A constitutional guard duty sort of organization, outlining past, ongoing and current violations to the US Constitution, and build a network of 'guards', always on duty, watching for new violations and I want to list those violations on a website. The purpose of the site will be to hopefully educate and inform the public. I will fund the organization and the website and will not be soliciting donations. If this catches on and grows the organization may solicit donations in the future, for attorneys to litigate, for educational video presentations, or for a whole host of unforeseen expenses. I don't know of any past or present member of the military who doesn't understand the concept of guard duty so I hope to attract members of the military. I want this organization to be non-profit and fiercely non-partisan, so as to attract the largest number of people. What I need is ideas. I can build the website, but I need ideas on the structure of the organization as well as the structure of the site, opening statements on the main page, etc. I want to list the text of the US Constitution, its history and a summary of what it means. I want to list the Bill of Rights and a summary of what they mean. I know this has been done before, but I haven't done it before so I'm going to. Anyone want to help?

You may want to review the current groups involved representing a multitude of principles. You also used to post a graphic depicting the interlocking of ideas, so you might want to use that as a baseline. Just a casual search lists hundreds of such sites and perhaps using a web- traffic monitoring site to determine which ones are most viewed and reasons why.
At what level will be the focus of violations? Federal, state, city, town, etc.? Some folks still fight the Civil War and Lincoln today regarding constitutional issues and violations. I understand guard duty, but don't see how 8 hour shifts would be useful in this project when information flows continuously and it's easy to catch a violation tomorrow that occurred yesterday. Just my thoughts.

I think one has to first determine the criteria for what qualifies as a violation of the constitution, and when you can't even get nine Supreme court justices, not to mention those at the state levels to agree, it's going to be a pretty tough job for lay people.

Not sure. I originally thought federal, but violations are violations I guess. Would have to figure out how far to go I guess. If this idea is followed to infinity, there may not be enough bandwidth in the universe to list it all. I think he should let Stone be the final judge on whether or not a violation occurred. You make good points.
I would think that all except maybe Bush, Obama and Eric Holder could agree that any law that authorizes indefinite detention of an American citizen is a violation of the Constitution. As well as blanket intel gathering on American citizens. Basically, if most agree it's a violation. it's a violation. Hell, even if most don't agree. If the text of a law violates the Constitution it's pretty obvious, even to lay people, and we DO have a right to say we believe it to be unconstitutional under the 1st Amendment.

I suggest you start with the Preamble,and focus strongly on the "all men are created equal..." part and explain the meaning to the poorly educated people of today that actually think that means all men have equal ability and talent. It doesn't mean that at all. It essentially means the opposite of that because the reference is to "in the eyes of the law/government". More plainly,it means THERE ARE NO SPECIAL CLASSES OF CITIZENS WITH MORE RIGHTS THAN OTHER CLASSES OF CITIZENS. Which means,NO QUOTAS. NO AFFIRMATIVE ACTION NO HATE CRIME LAWS. NO SPECIAL LAWS,RETIREMENT PROGRAMS,HEALTH CARE PROGRAMS,OR ANY OTHER BENEFIT IS TO BE GIVEN TO THE ELECTED OR APPOINTED REPRESENTATIVES THAT ISN'T EQUALLY AVAILABLE TO THE TYPICAL VOTER. IF THE LAWS THEY VOTE FOR ARE GOOD ENOUGH FOR US,THEY ARE GOOD ENOUGH FOR THEM TO LIVE UNDER,TOO. THE PEOPLE ARE THE MASTER OF GOVERNMENT,INSTEAD OF GOVERNMENT BEING THE MASTER OF THE PEOPLE.

That evil bastard should have been removed from office and hanged when he threatened to sent US Marshals to arrest and hold the Supreme Court in a military prison without trial until the war ended if they did as threatened and ruled that he didn't have the authority to prevent the south from seceding from the then-existing VOLUNTARY union.

Constitutional Principles: All Men Are Created Equal An entire page could be dedicated to that simple idea. This is what I mean about the structure of the site. This is going to be a large site and is going to require a LOT of work. I'm excited about it!

All Men Are Created Equal An entire page could be dedicated to that simple idea. I suggest a whole topic be dedicated to that subject,and topics also be created to educate people about the Federalist Papers and the Anti-Federalist papers. If you don't start at the roots you will never get anywhere.

Hondo's good at finding funny graphics. He could find serious graphics and cut and paste them, as long as the D&R regime isn't in the Constitution. He may be creative in a design sort of way - not sure.
Nope, white males had entrenched their presence through laws and regulations. Which is why in spite of my superior grades over most of the 'qualified' male candidates I couldn't qualify for the two slots held for women in the University veterinary program. Of course I could get on the then estimated 17 year waiting list. But only if I kept up prereqs in the major. Now they don't use AA because the process is entirely based on grades and qualifications not related to being groomed for the role of being the chief bread winner in the family.

I'm not an artist, so recruiting one might need to be on the todo list. There's a lot of graphics out there so only the occasional specific ones would have to be created. For instance taking a pic, and adding text. I may be able to come up with concepts, but someone else will have to do the artwork. Maybe the site should be similar to the DrudgeReport, in a news format, but more non-partisan and less mainstream? Got to make it interesting to attract viewers. Drudge just links to other sites, and has almost no original content. Also, the name can be changed easily, so if anyone can come up with a better one, please do.

Sounds like a crock to me. Most of the vets I know are female. Come to think of it,most of the vets I have dealt with over the years have been female. Since I have a tendency to adopt pretty much anything that wanders up and looks hungry,that means I have dealt with more than a few.

Can I get some help with a mission statement? What I want to say is something along the lines of this... "We Free People Mission Statement We are not Democrats... we are not Republicans... we are Americans. We are the free American citizens who have had enough of our own federal and State governments working against us, our freedom, our Constitution, our founding principles, our sovereignty and our country. We absolutely believe in the founding principles of this nation as outlined in the Declaration of Independence, The US Constitution and the Bill of Rights and we will protect and defend them against all enemies, both foreign and domestic. We recognize that decades ago our own federal government initiated a war and continues to wage war against our inherent freedoms and liberties as defined in the first ten Amendments to the US Constitution. That's what I have so far. Any ideas?

What you've written is nice but I'd call it "Who We Are" rather than a mission statement. Your mission statement lacks a purpose. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mission_statement I have a rough idea of your purpose: to identify Constitutional violations, to become better informed citizens of the Constitution, etc. Good luck. What I intend for this statement is just that, a simple statement. Basically outlining the most blatant unconstitutional acts and simply saying we the people aren't going to stand for it. I do not want to go as far as laying out a course of action if our goals of ending these acts are not met. The statement, and hopefully the large number of people who sign on it, is the goal.
