BEVERLY HILLS - At least someone may still be alive when AMC’s “Breaking Bad” finishes up its final eight episodes.

Creator Vince Gilligan told TV critics here Friday that he’d “love” to do a spinoff with lawyer Saul Goodman, played by Bob Odenkirk.

Gilligan has floated that idea before, and he stressed yesterday that it hasn’t yet been brought up to AMC.

Odenkirk, who started as a peripheral character, but carved an important role and often served as unintentional comic relief, said, “I’d do it in a second. If Vince wrote it, it would be awesome.”

Aaron Paul (Jesse Pinkman) and Bryan Cranston (Walter White) are back for the final season of "Breaking Bad."

Speculation has been building about what will happen to Bryan Cranston’s Walter White, Aaron Paul’s Jesse Pinkman, Anna Gunn’s Skyler White and the other characters caught in the backwash of Walt’s drug dealing.

No one leaked any spoilers Friday about the ending, but Gilligan said, “I’m very proud of it. I can’t wait for people to see it.”

Cranston said he and Gilligan “never discussed” the endgame and that he preferred not to know as the show went along. “I took it one script at a time.”

Whether or not Saul gets his spinoff, “Breaking Bad” fans will have at least one souvenir. Gilligan said a two-hour documentary on the show, with footage back to the beginning, will be released on DVD.

Dang! My gf's cable channels doesn't include AMC. She's a working stiff. I'm not sure how I'll watch it since I dumped satellite TV. I'll figure something out.

They usually stream them at AMC I think.

Or I can link you the place to download them once they air.

Satellite TV is expensive, considering I pay the bill, but don't do TV..lol..

If it were not for my husband and son, I'd throw that worthless paper weight out the door...the tv, not my husband...aha

I don't watch much TV unless I'm bored. And then the endless commercials tick me off. Just had the remake of The Longest Yard on. It was okay and mixed the old crewe [sic] with the new crew.

Thanks,I have heard this before. If it airs,I'd watch it. That guy really knows how to put the sleaze in "sleazy lawyer",and being a sleazy lawyer the story lines can go anywhere.

You decided to not buy the streaming device I told you about?

Even without the ROKU or something similar you can still watch them on your computer from places like amazon or netflix. Not as good as watching it on a big screen tv,but still better than not getting to see them.

My birthday is getting closer. I'm still giving it serious consideration, thanks to your input the other week. I'm not much of a TV or movie guy, until I am.

Wagon Train, Gunsmoke, and Bonanza gave me some entertainment earlier today - on the free TV air waves. I guess they cater to older folks. And I was such a stud back in the day.

Since I found I could call up any show, or movie I want to watch on the internet, when I want to watch it, I stopped all together watching tv, especially the news...if I want a good cry, I'll read a sad book...heheheeee

My goodness, I remember 'The Longest Yard', great movie, so I'd prolly feel the same as you about the remake.
