Syrian Rebels Support Trayvon Martin by AWR Hawkins 16 Jul 2013 Following George Zimmerman's "not guilty" verdict Saturday, Syrian rebels took photos with homemade signs to show solidarity with Trayvon Martin's family. The Daily Beast carried one of the photos in which the sign read: "Martin family! The Syrians are the best who know what it's like to lose loved ones by immune criminals." The photo of the rebels holding the sign was originally posted on the Facebook page of Raed Fares, who says, "it's very important to send our message to all the world. And English is the public language." Other signs focused on President Obama and Secretary of State John Kerry. The signs directed to Obama criticized his failed promises to help the Syrian people. One of the signs directed to Kerry read: "Kerry! Your tricks have been revealed. You say what you never mean and act when you announce you will not."
