When I posted on FreakRepublic some of us posted from the same office building and we had nearly identical IPs. I assume you'll admit to being a dumbass and apologize. Could be that Mad Dog and yukon use the same ISP (Internet Service Provider) in Alaska, so the first three sets of numbers (or so) being the same means nothing. IP's are mostly assigned randomly (DHCP - Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol) out of the pool of numbers owned by the ISP. When you hook up, a different IP is assigned each time. A small percentage of people have fixed IP addresses.
