# RE: Rand Paul's Message To Evangelicals: "There is a war on Christianity"

The war on Christ has begun. I have experienced first hand. here in california, any open display of faith in christ and our lord is actually met with aggressive ridicule, derision and ostracization.

All others faiths are tolerated. Indian-diwali stuff, korans and prayer shawls, phony kwanzaa stuff - all open, tolerated, etc.

But show people faith in the words of Christ, and instantly you are persecuted.

What the others dont realize is we have been torn limb to limb by the romans, we have survived. No matter how big Satan's horde gets, we will press on.

Yep, mythology written down by minions of a Roman king with an agenda should be treated that way.

I love that parable in St Mark in which he states that Jesus describes rows of corn and ears of corn. I wonder how many of Jesus's followers understood what he was discussing since corn was not imported to the old world until the 1500s.

God really messed up his divine inspiration on that one and many, many others.

Do you think corn is a vegetable !

To sum it all up, corn as used in the King James Bible means, in a general sense ... grain, with wheat or barley strongly implied --- not American maize.

What I find most interesting about this whole thing is how words can evolve and change their meanings over time.

The Gospel of St Mark was supposedly written around 65 AD. If Jesus was talking about wheat or barley why not say so? A God giving out devine inspiration to the writers employed by King Constantine would have known there was a major grain that would usurp the name and cause confusion down the road. A God that can't anticipate major changes during the flow of time seems pretty useless.

OTT, it's laughable to say there is a war against the largest groups of religions in the US, other than either getting them out of the political arena, or making them give up their non profit status.

I did, but the Bible is about belief in God and not the other way around. Could not God have known that a specific grain would be discovered only 1500 years and given that specific name?

All the Bible proves is that it was written by men who were employed by men and unable to predict the future.

You might want to look in earlier versions because the KJB is a "sanitized" version, which means the wording was changed around to fit KJs agenda...

Why would a king have an agenda for rewriting the Bible.

Also, was wheat, barley and other small grains planted in distinct rows during the time of Jesus. Seems rather labor intensive to me.

Why would a king have an agenda for rewriting the Bible.

The way I understand it is there was a need for a "good translation" of the Bible into English, the older versions (Bishops Bible and the Geneva Bible which by the way was the one the pilgrims carried when they came to The New World) supposedly weren't good enough or accurate enough... So King James decided to do a translation that was easy for the average person to read... It's said that he thought the earlier bibles gave too much power to the church and the people instead of him, so he had it re-written to omit certain passages... It's also rumored he did it so he could get either married again or divorced again, I'm not sure which...

Now what is the real truth as to why he had it done, well who knows..

"Those who don't know history are destined to repeat it."

The Eastern / Greek Orthodox Bible

Mark 2:23:

Now, it happened that he was going on the Sabbath day through the field of grain, and his disciples began, as they went, to pluck some heads of grain...

Much more accurate than King James...

Corn is more descriptive then grain. King James is better.

I believe he added certain passages too. Whatever, he successfully equated kings with being gods in the minds of the illiterates of the time.

The word corn existed before Columbus discovered America. The meaning of some words have changed over time. Corn used to refer to any grain. When the people came to the new world they needed a word to call what we call corn today. They called it indian corn and later just corn.

Nicely done. Thanks for straightening out Satan's mistress's lies and obsession with subverting the inspired Word of God. "AN 'i' wasn't dotted!!!" A 't' wasn't crossed!!!" "The translation of Greek, Aramaic, Latin, and Olde English don't mesh!!!!"

You have to feel sorry for someone that desperate to discredit scripture (over "CORN"??!?) For centuries cynics, Atheists, and Luciferian agents have tried...but failed miserably. They've also tried in vain to discredit the prophets and their prophecies that have come true. Before our very eyes some are unfolding.

Willing ignorance, un-repentance, and disbelief in the the Word of God -- and Judgement of the Almighty and Creator of the Universe -- doesn't mean He doesn't exist; It merely means the clock for those who heed only the voice of their own ego, self-deification and lies of the Evil One is running out. That end could well be tomorrow or 20 years from now -- we don't know. But what could be more horrific a nightmare than standing before the Lord in Judgment knowing that one is condemned for all Eternity?

Why aren't you and that vulgar Cro-Magnon whose quote you proudly display embarrassed by it?

Go ahead, be mercenaries and side with the Death Cult of Islam and all that IT represents. OVER OIL. Good thinkin'! You two should go buy a ticket for 'Muslim Death Cult Airways,' and land at Riyadh. I'm sure you'll be awash in a level of "freedom" and hospitality that will be most accommodating. "Oil"??
