Expert: Pressure Cooker Bombs Right-wing Signature
Philip Hodges
As the media and government officials scramble around and decide on who to blame for the bombing, many liberals like Chris Matthews have already speculated that it was probably a right-wing extremist because of the significance of Tax Day and Patriots Day. Those days dont have any significance to the Muslim world, so it doesnt make sense to blame them.
Obviously, its one of those Timothy McVeigh types. You know, white, racist, homophobic and anti-Semitic Tea Partiers who want to blow up the government. What a lot of people dont realize is that the Tea Party isnt actually about advocating for smaller government and therefore more freedom for Americans. Theres a very sinister conspiracy hidden deep within the Tea Party movement. Theyre actually about killing innocent people in terrorist attacks so that the government can have an excuse to grow. Liberals should appreciate the Tea Party.
Even a Senior U.S. Counterterrorism expert told CNN that the use of pressure cookers in explosives is a signature for right-wing extremists. Never mind the fact that the supposed right-wing terrorists never used pressure cookers in their explosives.
And never mind the fact that it was an Al-Qaeda publication that recommended the use of pressure cookers to their aspiring terrorist readership. In a 2010 article entitled, How to Make a Bomb in Your Moms Kitchen, it listed which ingredients would be needed in order to make an explosive device from common household appliances. But it said that the prescribed concoction only works in a highly pressurized environment. The pressure cooker is the most effective method, it advised.
In spite of Al-Qaeda inspiring other terrorists for the past 3 years to make their own bombs and strongly encouraging terrorists in the West to take action on their own, the same CNN article distanced itself from blaming any Islamic group:
There is no evidence that AQAP [Al-Qaeda in the Arabian Peninsula] or any of its supporters was involved in the Boston attack. Nor is it clear whether the attack was the work of one or more individuals.
And never mind the fact that using pressure cookers in IEDs have already been done many times in the Middle East and in the U.S. by Islamic terrorists. Breitbart detailed a few examples:
In 2010, militants in Pakistan attacked the office of Christian aid organization World Vision and killed six workers there, all Muslim. After shooting workers, the terrorists exploded a locally made pressure cooker bomb.
Also in 2010, Faizal Shahzad attempted a bombing near Times Square by leaving explosives, including a pressure cooker bomb, in car a near Times Square.
In 2011, police seized two pressure cooker bombs from the hotel room of Naser Abdo, who planned to use them to bomb Fort Hood in Texas.
Yet, somehow this pressure cooker phenomenon is a right-wing thing.
