Looks blue to me. Besides, I don't believe there is a purple wrist band out there standing for anything on a national level.
The entire WH was wearing those purple bands at one time. I have read it was in honor of fag pride month, but I can't verify that. It's certainly would not be a surprise as it has always been clear that Huseein could suck a golf ball through a garden hose.
