You got a Derby horse yet? I'll probably make a weekend road trip to Oaklawn in a few weeks - cabin fever has me wanting to get out and about. Might make the Arkansas Derby - never been to that track. Verrazano.
Verrazano. I could live in Hot Springs. I love the Majestic Hotel. Every bathroom is different. Funky with the Best Plumbing and Tile Work.....;}
Sounds too expensive for me. I'm on a budget and a weekend trip with a bed and shower is what I need. I've got to have some betting money, you know.
But it's really not. Breakfast buffet included. And it's a block from the Arlington, which owns it. You get to use the Arlington's pools/hot tub (nice;) for free.....;} And ask for the least expensive room. Trust me, it's like Pat O'Brians in New Orleans, you think it's expensive but it's really the best deal in town.... shuttles to the track....;}
I Googled it yesterday and it sounds like it's been closed for six years and falling apart. Check it out.
