Feinstein: All Vets Are Mentally Ill And Government Should Prevent Them From Owning Firearms
During the Senate Judiciary meeting today to markup a potpourri of bills designed to deny the American people their rights under the Second Amendment and disarm them, Senator Dianne Feinstein opposed an amendment to her so-called assault weapons ban legislation that would allow veterans to continue buying firearms the bill would outlaw. Feinstein basically said all veterans have PTSD and should have their Second Amendment stripped. In response to the amendment, she said the following:
this adds an exemption of retired military. As I understand our bill, no issue has arose in this regard during the 10 years the expired ban was effect and what we did in the other bill was exempt possession by the United States or a department or agency of the United States that included active military. The problem with expanding this is that you know with the advent of PTSD, which I think is a new phenomenon as a product of the Iraq War, its not clear how the seller or transferrer of a firearm covered by this bill would verify that an individual was a member, or a veteran, and that there was no impairment of that individual with respect to having a weapon like this. So you know I would be happy to sit down with you again and see if we could work something out but I think we have to if youre going to do this, find a way that veterans who are incapacitated for one reason or another mentally dont have access to this kind of weapon.
Yep. Cruz was reduced to Classroom Snot who won't get the birthday party invite...
She was pissed because he called out her "stupidity" (lack of knowledge and respect for the Constitution) and so she "Libbed" out at him...
His questions underscored his own lack of understanding of the 1st Amendment. There are laws that reduce speech from a plenary proposition to one that does have boundaries...libel...public safety...would Cruz argue that parade permits are an infringement on free speech? What's even more ironic is that he clerked for Rehnquist while Rehnquist, Scalia and others were running amok over 1A...
I'll believe that a corporation is a person 1 second after Texas executes one...
What did you do to provoke these dedicated public servants?
I'll bet you did your asshole act, right?
He's too funny. Not an ounce of taking responsibility for his own actions from that one. Do you think he was under Nurron's skirts, hiding from them too?
Almost every country in the Middle East is awash in oil, and we have to side with the one that has nothing but joos. Goddamn, that was good thinkin'. Esso posted on 2012-01-13 7:37:56 ET
Speech is any expression of belief or a means used to communicate a message.
Marches and demonstrations is an expression of belief if they are for a purpose and protected under the First Amendment.
Porn is an communication regarding one's sexulality and is also protected by decissions by the Supreme COurt as speech under the First Amendment.
Speech is communication. It is something much more complex than verbal, written or sign language conveying meaning.
And speech can be unconstitutional if you shoot up people for a political message, yell fire in a theater, or threaten someone. Speech has limits and the SCOTUS has ruled this is so if it is something that causes or can cause physical harm to people or endanger them.
You don't like the fact we have a system of law where court cases creat precidents that establish limits. But in this quirt of yours', your argument is with the SCOTUS, not us.
We just try to get the facts through your rather thick skull when we argue with you on a topic like this.
Feinstein is as fine of a Senator that this nation has ever seen and her *bitch* slap of Ted Cruz is an absolutle classic...
You're delusional (no surprise) if you think Cruz's schooling of the senile senior Senator from California on the meaning of the US Constitution amounts to a *bitch slap* against him.
To me it doesn't matter what wrapping *Moron* comes in.
" Cruz started out -- and then asked whether the First Amendment should "only apply" to certain books or the Fourth Amendment should only protect certain people from unreasonable searches.
Abortion is legal until it's banned. Then we need to be generous with reconciliation between those pro and con.
To keep warring invites the prospect ofit remaining legal, or if outlawed relegalized when vengeful people like you torment and piss off the pro abortion people to rally and to relegalize it if it is outlawed.
You jut do not have a grasp on how to win politically and then keep the win secure.
The world is not black and white, bucko.
And your insults make you look immature and shallow, and only amuse me secure in the knowledge you are only hurting yourself with such childish behavior.
Back up your statement with what you mean. Otherwise I have no idea what you talk about.
I have followed her career since she became Mayor of San Francisco, and I agree with everything she's done.
(That doesn't surprise me either)...
Lets see....
1). She's a Democrat
2). She's for gay marriage
3). She's for abortion
4). She's for restricting peoples freedoms and liberties thru legislation, all aimed at furthering her career and making her purse fatter at taxpayers expense...
5). She can't seem to be a law abiding citizen (campaign contributions and ethics violations from her own legislation)...
Talk about lacking morals, need I say more??
"Those who don't know history are destined to repeat it."
Cruz is going to do the quickest crash and burn this side of Norm Coleman...
That all depends on how well he handles the LSM (Lame Stream Media) attacks... If he buckles under then I would agree with you, but if he makes them look like the fools they are then he will be fine...
"Those who don't know history are destined to repeat it."
"So you are a liar then. You are the idiot who said you agree with everything she's done."
I obviously meant many of the big things that are hallmark accomplishments of her career. Any idiot would know that every two human beings have their differences of opinion.
Not at all. For example, I support the Second Amendment, but I support current legislation that would institute well needed resrictions that will help stem gun violence in the U.S. such as manditory background checks and an assualt weapons ban.
I was specifically thinking about the couragious way she stepped into the Mayor's role in San Francisco after the senseless and brutal murders Dan White committed in that city.
I like this senator, and I thank her for her lifetime of well served public service. And I have respect for any senator who has served well and worked hard, even if they are to the right of me politically.
Stone has a childish way of baiting and taunting pretending such a denigrating tone is actuial debate. That is the only thing that exchange exposed, Boofer.
C'mon Mike...any sixth grader knows Diane Feinstein is a doddering old fool who hasn't accomplished diddly-squat during her tenure as Senator, except secure lucrative contracts from the Chinese for her tax cheat husband.
She's a pathetic disgrace who should be leading the charge to find out what happened in Benghazi and bring the murderers of Ambassador Stevens (who was raised in San Francisco) to justice, instead of proposing simple-minded gun legislation that doesn't have a chance of passing.
