Rand Paul is simply looking for an answer. Can the Obama administration assassinate Americans in their own country without due process? This is a basic issue of civil liberties. In filibustering the nomination of John Brennan to head the Central Intelligence Committee, the Kentucky Senator is taking a historic stand for liberty. The Constitution preserves the right of all Americans to due process. So far President Obama has refused to answer if the Bill of Rights still applies under his new security policy. The question is simple: do we still have our traditional rights of life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness? Senator Rand Paul’s filibuster is an attempt to answer this vital question. Many Senators, both Republican and Democrat, have joined Sen. Paul. We can’t let the Obama Administration continue to operate in secrecy. Tell your Senator to stand with Senator Paul and the Constitution.

He is barking up Obama's tree. Are you an Obama supporter? Do you realize if that if/when they kill an American with a drone then it is given the ok by the courts, that it will start an avalanche of that behavior throughout time?
No, I'm not an Obama supporter. We're not about to cross some mysterious threshold that will allow politicians to kill citizens. I'm of the mind that we crossed that threshold decades ago. Congress has not declared war since 1942, yet we have been engaged in at least 4 conflicts/wars where our soldiers were slaughtered. Point being, drone technology is here to stay, and it will get more advanced. Having Obama or Holder declare "we won't kill Americans" is naive at best. "Chuckle Nuts" Dubya Bush, The "Decider", and Ashcroft, unleashed these drones, yet no one complained except namby pamby liberals like Ron Wyden. This issue of demanding a declaration that the President won't kill Americans with these drones is just partisan, simple-minded and totally naive.
I complained. Other constitutional conservatives complained. Asking Obama to publicly say that he won't kill Americans with drones puts him on the record and brings attention to the issue. By the way welcome to the site.

Rather than choosing to “Stand with Rand,” a small group of GOP senators are dining with the President this evening. According to ABC News, this includes John McCain, Lindsey Graham, and Kelly Ayotte.
