Pyongyang, February 25 (KCNA) -- The underground nuclear test of the DPRK is a product of the high-handed moves of the U.S. and other hostile forces to stifle it and part of its just step for self-defence to cope with the U.S. imperialists' undisguised nuclear threat and blackmail, Rodong Sinmun Monday says in a bylined article. In the new century the U.S. imperialists have more persistently resorted to the nuclear blackmail against the DPRK since they put it on the list of targets of their nuclear attacks, the article says, and goes on:
This compelled the DPRK to have access to nuclear deterrence to foil the U.S. imperialists' scenario for a nuclear war.
Had the DPRK failed to have access to the strong nuclear deterrence to frustrate their moves, a war would have broken out on the Korean Peninsula several times.
The DPRK's third underground nuclear test offered an important occasion in protecting peace and security on the peninsula and in the rest of Northeast Asia and the world.
It is the comments of not a few military experts that the DPRK's successful nuclear test made a big contribution to ensuring peace and security on the peninsula and in its vicinity and the rest of the world.
The DPRK's access to powerful nuclear deterrent told the world that gone are the days never to return when the U.S. imperialists could pose a unilateral nuclear threat to the former.
They had better refrain from resorting to a foolish adventure to test the DPRK.
Nukes are by no means a monopoly of the U.S.
