Breaking News: Recent polls suggest the majority of Americans consider being called “Republican” insulting. The independent political polling company NSON Opinion Strategy [1] recently published the results of a case study in which 250,000 randomly selected American voters were asked a series of questions. The details of how and where the study was conducted have yet to be released but the results are clear: 87% of Americans consider the word “Republican” to be synonymous with greed, racism, and violence. Perhaps if the GOP really wants to reinvent themselves they will have to start with a new name.

I like Burning Man. I've been to three and will go again this year. It is one of the few totally creative, free and exilerating events held in this coutry where live has been homoginized and stripped of adventure, unabashed playfulness and creativity. I recommend it.

One experiences Burning man when you become part of the annual community that is formed every year. I doubt the North Koreans would be a fit, though I'm sure if you could ever learn to relax and stop being such a shrill ideolog for a little while while you were there.
