Title: Rand Paul: Ashley Judd 'Doesn't Really Represent Kentucky' (VIDEO)

Sen. Rand Paul (R-Ky.) told CNN on Sunday that Hollywood actress and Democratic activist Ashley Judd "doesn't really represent Kentucky."

"When I heard Ashely Judd might run for office, I thought it was Parliament because she lives in Scotland half of the year," Paul told CNN's Candy Crowley.

In a bit of back-handed praise, Paul then said, "Ashley Judd is a famous actress, she's an attractive woman, and presents herself well and from what I understand is articulate."

Paul's dismissal of Judd came after he was asked whether he knew if Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-Ky.) had any Tea Party challengers coming forward. Upon review of an ad put forth by Karl Rove's American Crossroads, Paul pointed out that Judd "was a representative for Tennesee last year. She lives in Tennessee."

"So, yeah, I think you do need to make sure people know about that," Paul continued. "So people don't think she's really from Kentucky or lives here."

Judd is reportedly considering a bid for office in 2014 or 2016, but has not made an official announcement about a potential candidacy. If Judd pursued the Senate seat in 2016, she would be running against Paul.

It's not the first time Paul has spoken out on Judd's viability as a candidate. In December, Paul told radio station WMAL that Judd was "way damn too liberal for our country, for our state."

So she lives in Scotland half the year. I don't see how that is a problem, seeing as how Sen. Paul has embraced dual citizenship Israeli jews. Besides, I'm pretty sure Paul isn't a native kentuckian, either.

You have to give Judd a break, here. She sometimes plays a woman with a mind when she is working, and she got confused and mixed up the real world with the acting world.

Why would I hit on a woman as plain as her? I don't even drink anymore.

Plus she would almost certainly insist on saying something stupid and expecting me to react like it was profound, and I associate with dummies if they insist on talking.

Ashley Judd is a g-damn carpetbagger, born in California, spent several years of her adolescent life in Kentucky, moved to Tennessee, and has called Tennessee her home since 1993, the only reason the attention whore shows herself in Kentucky now is because she honestly thinks we "hillbillies" (her word) are soo stupid that we'll flock to the polls and vote for her because she's got a famous face. She's a left-wing radical crack pot, and in for a very rude awakening, and it isn't going to be pretty! ~ JMHO, Murron

Ashley was born as Ashley Tyler Ciminella in Granada Hills, California, April 19, 1968

In 1973, her mother took her back to her native Kentucky,

Judd attended 13 schools before college, including the Sayre School in Lexington, Kentucky, Paul G. Blazer High School in Ashland, Kentucky and Franklin High School in Tennessee

An alumna of the sorority Kappa Kappa Gamma at the University of Kentucky, she majored in French and minored in anthropology, art history, theater and women's studies. She graduated from the UK Honors Program and was nominated to Phi Beta Kappa, but did not graduate with her class.

her half-sister Wynonna Judd gave her a historic farmhouse and some land in Williamson County, Tennessee (1993), so she moved to Tennessee. That farmhouse has been her primary residence in the US ever since.

Acting Career: 1991- 2012

She attended University of Kentucky basketball games regularly (frequently sitting in the student section), she has also attended several Kentucky football games. Judd has been a guest columnist for a local Kentucky newspaper, writing about the NCAA hampionships. Posed for a poster wearing only an ice hockey jersey for fund raising purposes for the University of Kentucky's hockey team.

Judd was awarded an Honorary Doctor of Humane Letters from Union College in Barbourville, Kentucky on May 9, 2009.

Judd subsequently earned a Mid-Career Master in Public Administration degree (MC MPA) from the John F. Kennedy School of Government at Harvard University in 2010. This is a one-year degree as distinct from the two-year MPA.

In 2011, Judd joined the Leadership Council of the International Center for Research on Women (ICRW).

Other organizations Judd has been involved with include the Women for Women International, and Equality Now, along with other non-governmental organizations which center around bringing attention to social, educational, health, economic, cultural, and financial funding of the unfortunate

In 2008, Judd supported Barack Obama's presidential campaign.

On October 29, 2006, Judd appeared at a "Women for Ford" event for Democratic Tennessee Senate candidate Harold Ford, Jr. She has also campaigned extensively locally and nationally for a variety of Democratic candidates, including President Barack Obama in critical swing states.

Judd again supported Democrats in the 2012 elections, endorsing President Barack Obama for re-election. She represented Tennessee as a delegate to the 2012 Democratic National Convention. She is also reportedly considering returning to Kentucky and challenging U.S. Sen. Mitch McConnell in 2014.

In 2009, the actress slammed former vice presidential candidate Sarah Palin for her support of aerial wolf hunting.

In 2009, Judd joined forces with NARAL Pro-Choice America, speaking out on behalf of abortion rights.

One of Judd’s biggest concerns was getting President Obama reelected. At the Democratic National Convention, Judd told ABC News about her work as a Democratic delegate, canvassing on behalf of her candidate.

After Michelle Obama's keynote speech at the DNC last night, the Planned Parenthood Action Fund took over a Charlotte club for its signature Sex, Politics, and Cocktails party. The uplifting mood from Mrs. Obama's address carried over into the event, and when the music stopped for a few minutes, the guests of honor, including Ashley Judd, continued the First Lady's message, too: President Obama is the right choice in 2012.

“The First Lady’s speech was breathtaking,” Judd said, praising Michelle Obama’s "incredible willingness" to share her personal narrative and be vulnerable on a public stage where the spotlight can be unforgiving.

Lots of folks, myself included, thought that method of hunting was horribly unsporting.

I'll have to concede on this one, Fred, and agree with you, it is not sporting, nor humane to run an animal down in a plane and shoot it.

The image I recollect was a helicopter being used in the hunt/slaughter. That isn't to say that planes weren't used. Both are expensive hunting vehicles.
