Mayor Bloomberg and his coalition of officials opposed to Americans exercising their Second Amendment right will run the following ad during the third quarter of today’s Super Bowl: The ad will only run in Washington, D.C. Forbes reports: While the ad will reach an influential audience in DC, it looks like Mayors Against Illegal Guns is trying reach a larger audience via the buzz it is generating from the ad. The homepage of its demandaplan.com website, its url featured in the ad, prompts visitors to “Watch our Super Bowl ad, then join us in standing up to the gun lobby and demanding background checks for all gun sales.” Underneath the embedded ad, the website gives visitors plenty of options to get involved, including a petition to sign, a form that will send an email to congress and another that will connect visitors on a call directly with their Senator’s office.
