It's my first time on this forum. I'm a long time member of Free Republic but after Jim Robinson told me to "knock it off", I'm no longer motivated to post there because obviously they do not tolerate a diversity of opinions.

I'm here. I'm still looking for a forum. I also checked out Liberty Post.
Not long actually. I stayed out of most controversial threads. And most of the time, I focused on foreign events so it didn't really affect me. For what it's worth, I agree with 90% of JimRob's issues. 10%, didn't agree with him (and a majority of FR posters). Recently, I was engaged in a respectful debate about one of the issues I disagreed and all I got was "knock it off". And since then I've been turned off from FR. Anyway, as everyone has noticed that the quality of forum has gone way way down. Intellectual debate is no longer tolerated. Which is quite unfortunate because during its heyday, FR was a beauty in its own right. Those days are over now.
Thanks! It's quite a shame what happened to FR the past couple of years.
