There is never any excuse for this sort of behavior. War is conducted with standards and treaties and international law affect it greatly.
If our troops comport themselves with the ethics and attitude of a lynch mob complete with the desicration of bodies they do several things.
They cause more political damage than is worth anything.
They endanger the lives of any of their brother Marines and Army soldiers who may be captured, or spark reciprical body desecration.
They make people wonder if this is what they put on You Tube, what horrible things do they do they are not showing?
It is enough to kill Taliban guerillas, one does not have to be childish about what one does after the killing is done.
I am very disappointed in the behavior of this Marine. I felt he deserved a higher punishment than he got for this.
