The UN General Assembly has overwhelmingly approved a resolution calling on Israel to open its nuclear program for inspection “without further delay.” Israel’s advanced nuclear arsenal has long been understood to exist, although it hasn’t been officially admitted by the Israeli government. Many have argued Israel’s possession of nuclear weapons is what drives the accelerated Iranian program and causes other regional instability. The resolution was approved on Monday by a vote of 174-6 with 6 abstentions and calls on Israel to join the Nuclear Nonproliferation Treaty immediately and open its nuclear facilities to inspection by the International Atomic Energy Agency. It also offered support for a high-level conference to ban nuclear weapons from the Middle East which was just canceled by the US and Israel, in order to protect Israel’s regional nuclear monopoly. If Israel agreed to dismantling its vast stockpiles of nuclear weapons and to a deal enforcing a nuclear weapons-free zone in the Middle East – a deal Iran and Israel’s Arab neighbors have repeatedly proposed – the supposed threats Israel faces in the region would virtually disappear. But Israel refuses to give up its nuclear monopoly, insistent on maintaining its excuse to build up its military and distract from the Palestinian issue. As former CIA Middle East analyst Paul Pillar has written, “the Iran issue” provides a “distraction” from international “attention to the Palestinians’ lack of popular sovereignty.”

Israel to the UN. Fuck you. I see you are a supporter of the UN. You also didn't vote against the illegal alien.
Israel has requested that the UN look for nukes and centrifuges, yellowcakes, and stuff so they're on it! They're afraid that Iran might get something like what they have. The inspectors need to look, so that they know what the prohibited stuff looks like. Could be a yellowcake, or maybe it's just a stale twinkie that Mitt left under the bed? Only Bibi knows for sure!

No Muslim nation should have nukes. If Israel wants nukes they should have the right to them. What is so hard to understand about that?
I will add this. I wish there was no such thing as nukes.
The cause of the instability there is all of the "muttonhead" Arabs who are there that insist on living in the past with a book that spews hatred of non believers... But then again that wouldn't be a major problem if oil hadn't been discovered over there... Then the Arabs would only be wiping out each other instead of trying to wipe out the world!!

I wish there was no such thing as nukes. Are you saying that since Obama's a muslim, the US shouldn't have nukes? Obama has hundreds of nukes, so every neighborhood should have a couple too. MAD (Mutual Assured Destruction) worked for decades during the cold war. Disarmament schemes don't work. More guns = Less crime Whether it's national, international, or local... being heavily armed is the best way to avoid war, discourage nogood-niks, and promote peace. Think... Colt Peacemaker. Good one. But we aren't a Muslim nation as the majority of us have nothing to do with it. Also Obama isn't really the President. Not a lawful one anyway. Everything he does is illegal and null and void.
Whether they're international gun grabbers, local, or national... they're dangerous crackpots, and the best reason why everyone should be well armed.
