Meghan McCain wants Republicans to wake up or else she just might leave the party. The Republican daughter of Sen John McCain, who famously blogged from her father's presidential campaign bus about fashion on the campaign trail, is saying the GOP's positions on social issues are outdated and irrelevant. 'I don’t fit into the traditional Republican box that the 'wingnuts who have hijacked my party think all Republicans should,' she wrote in an opinion piece. The realization hit her election night as she was choking back tears over the Mitt Romney's campaign loss to President Barack Obama. nttttt 'It’s not like he’s a close friend,' she wrote. 'Looking back to last week, I think that I was mourning something else. For the last four years, writing on this website, I’ve been calling for the Republican Party to come to terms with reality and modernize. Last Tuesday, Mitt Romney lost—and he lost big. As Republicans, we lost again. I felt sad, exhausted, beaten down, and heartbroken. It was the first time that I considered that the Republican Party, which I love so much, might die.' McCain admitted that she doesn't fit into the typical Republican model of 'wingnuts who have hijacked my party,' but feels her the GOP step away from wrong-headed social issues. 'I care more about my economy, national security, and fiscal conservatism than I do about what other woman do with their bodies,' she writes. 'It’s not my place, and I don’t believe it’s the government’s place, to make such decisions. 'I also don’t believe it’s the government’s role to tell gays and lesbians that they can’t be given the same opportunities in American just because of who they love.' What Ms McCain fears most, it seems, is the Republican Party becoming further isolated and irrelevant. ''Times are changing,' she wrote. 'The face of America is changing and we as Republicans stand at a crossroads. Are we going to accept the changing face of America and change with it?' she writes. 'It’s possible to maintain the core values of this party and evolve when it comes to social issues. Quite frankly, I don’t see any other path to success.'

Happy Thanksgiving. I wasn't completely serious. Here is the deal. No one really cares what you do sexually. We don't give a shit. Here is the problem. Some of you queers want to redefine marriage. Marriage by definition is between a man and a woman. What you want is equivalent to someone insisting that triangles have 4 sides. You want to redefine something. Quit trying to change us and go mind your own business. Why do you feel the need to tell us you are queer anyway? That is kind of weird. I don't go around telling everyone everything me and the wife do. So just chill out and quit trying to pervert out culture. In turn we will leave you queers alone and you can be as queer as you want.
