Title: Bill Kristol: Republicans Should Give Into To Higher Taxes (another neo con job)

Bill Kristol
Fox News Conservative columnist and Weekly Standard editor Bill Kristol suggested today on "Fox News Sunday" that Congressional Republicans should agree to a compromise with President Barack Obama in the so-called "fiscal cliff" negotiations.

“Really? The Republican Party is going to fall on its sword to defend a bunch of millionaires, half of whom voted Democratic and half of them live in Hollywood?” he said.

"It won't kill the country if we raise taxes a little bit on millionaires," Kristol added. "It really won't, I don't think. I don't really understand why Republicans don't take Obama's offer."

Kristol said that Republicans would eventually have to compromise on taxes, which is set to be one of the major fights in a budget deal. The Bush-era tax cuts are set to expire at the end of the year. Obama wants to extend the tax cuts on incomes fewer than $250,000, thereby raising taxes on any incomes above that level. Congressional Republicans want to extend them for all incomes.

"I think Republicans will have to give in much more than they think," Kristol said, because "elections have consequences."

Tax, borrow, print money, bomb, and oppress the serfs... the progressive neocon way. It can't last much longer, the wheels are coming off. (1 image)

Bill Kristol needs to man up, and admit that he's just another neocon whore, asking us to spread our asscheeks like HE does every day.

All I want, is to see him and his ilk PAY for their treachery.

The U.S. government no longer has the consent of the people.

When have they ever?

Only 30% of the population supported the Revolutionary War.

In 1828 (the first year records were kept), only 57% of the voting age population turned out to vote. That's about the same percentage that turned out this year.

Voter turnout has only reached 80% three times (including 1860). It's been lower than 50% three times (1920, 1924, and 1996). In the 20th century, turnout has generally been between 50% and 60%, with few exceptions.

You are assuming that 57% voting turnout means 43% are tacitly giving lack of consent, which is one screwy assumption. Generally when voting turnout is smaller that means people are happy with the status quo. People tend to turnout to vote in higher numbers when they want to change something.

As far as the Revolutionary war went, since active support could mean a potential date with a hanging or before a firing squad, it's hard to say just how many actually supported the war.
