United States News Title: Superstorm Sandy aka Barack Obama’s Katrina Ten days after the touchdown of Superstorm Sandyin the Northeast, not only is the northeast this morning under several inches of snow, gas stations are still without fuel. Last weekend, GasBuddy.com set up a fuel shortage tracker site to assist motorists in the tri-state area in their search for gas. As of this morning, 75% of the fuel stations between New Jersey, New York City, Long Island have no gas. The green squares in above screenshots represent fuel stations with gas as and the pink squares represent fuel stations without gas. BLACK MARKET My cab driver mentioned to me the other day that his brother was charged $7.00 for a gallon of gas the other day. I assumed that the brother purchased the gas at a fuel station but when I told my driver that his brother should report the station owner he changed the subject. I know know why. Because of the fuel shortage in the tri-state area and the desperation of folks in the northeast to acquire this precious commodity, there is now a black market for fuel. Craigslist has advertisements from individuals charging astronomical prices for gas without the consumer having to wait in line at a fuel station. Examples below: I am starting to believe that the ten day gas shortage is an intentional act by the Barack Obama and his clan of Commies. Nevertheless, one has to be absolutely desperate and insane to contact anyone on CraigsList or anywhere else for this overpriced gas. Talk about dangerous. As for the individuals selling the so-called petrol, their UNSCRUPULOUS actions are about to catch up with them. After all, Sandy has given the nanny and police state an opportunity to deny millions of Americans fuel for their vehicles. How dare these greedy bastards accommodate those willing to pay. Besides, it is illegal. New York AG goes after post-Sandy price gougers The state attorney general yesterday slapped a subpoena on Craigslist, demanding that the popular Web site identify sellers who jacked up prices on post-Sandy gas, generators and other supplies, The Post has learned. The subpoena is part of a widespread probe into rip-off hotel rooms, groceries, transportation and other essential and emergency supplies announced this week by the AGs Office. More than 100 Craigslist users are being targeted by AG Eric Schneiderman for chiseling New Yorkers desperate for essential items in the wake of last weeks hurricane, according to an official..
A Bensonhurst seller urged customers to AVOID THE LONG LINES! and buy his extra 5 gallons of premium gas (no container) for $50, noting the higher price is only to cover expenses such as tolls, gas and time
. Many of the ads remain up on Craigslist as of this morning. Of course, if you are a TLC licensed cab driver NYC (which are most of the cabs that serve Manhattan), then your gas is free. By law, all cab drivers must have a TLC license but reality and the law do not always match up. As usual, this is about making sure that the elitists living in Manhattan, downtown Brooklyn and the tourists are serviced.
