YUMA, AZ - One or more people attempted to cross the U.S. Mexico border are on the fence, literally.
Yuma Sector U.S. Border Patrol agents foiling smuggling attempt Tuesday helped considerably by the would-be smugglers.
The design of their plan was critically flawed when the make-shift ramp didn't quite perform as needed.
The silver jeep Cherokee was spotted just after midnight in the imperial sand dunes.
As agents arrive, two people ran into Mexico.
Both the jeep and the ramps were taken by border patrol.
The fence is about 14-feet high.

Traveling with their own make-shift ramp, suspected smugglers didnt expect the 14-foot border fence at Californias Imperial Sand Dunes area to stop them from entering the United States from Mexico around midnight on Tuesday, the Los Angeles Times reported.
However, their silver Jeep Cherokee only made it to the top of the fence before it got stuck, leaving the vehicle suspended on the barrier between the two countries, the LA Times reported.
