New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie (R) on Wednesday thanked President Obama for his aid amidst recovery efforts in the aftermath of Superstorm Sandy.
"I cannot thank the president enough for his concern," said Christie, at a joint press conference. "He's called me 6 times, it's a great working relationship."
For his part, Obama returned the compliments.
"He's been responsive, aggressive...he's put his heart and soul in making sure that the people of New Jersey bounce back stronger than ever before."
Obama added that he had instituted a "15 minute rule" for his response team, alloting 15 minutes of maximum time in which they had to respond to governors, mayors, and other local officials for any urgent request from the administration.
