PADUCAH, Ky. - U.S. Senator Rand Paul stopped in Paducah Tuesday afternoon, speaking to voters at the Lion's Club meeting. His message was to "vote for change." Paul explained why he thinks Romney will win this election, but said if much of New York is still without power by Election Day that no one really knows how things will go.
When Local 6 asked the senator what he thought the key factors are this election year, Hurricane Sandy was not on the list.
Paul said, "We've got 23 million people out of work, not looking for work and we've got gas prices that have doubled and we've added $6 trillion to the debt trying to stimulate the economy with government spending."
Senator Paul said it's hard to predict this year's voter turnout, but the Kentucky Secretary of State said the statewide turnout is predicted between 62 and 64-percent.
There are 130,000 more registered voters in Kentucky now, compared to 2008.
