World Without End is an eight episode television miniseries based on the novel of the same name by Ken Follett. It is the follow up to the 2010 miniseries The Pillars of the Earth, also based on a Follett novel. World Without End is set 150 years after The Pillars of the Earth and chronicles the experiences of the fictional English town of Kingsbridge during the start of the Hundred Years' War and the outbreak of the Black Death. The cast is led by Cynthia Nixon, Miranda Richardson, Ben Chaplin, Peter Firth, Charlotte Riley, and Tom Weston-Jones.

The series was produced by German-based Tandem Communications, Ridley Scott's Scott Free Productions, Take 5 Productions, and Galafilm. Filming took place in Hungary, Slovakia and Austria. Executive producers include Ridley and Tony Scott, Rola Bauer, David W. Zucker, Tim Halkin, Jonas Bauer, and John Weber. John Pielmeier adapted the screenplay and Michael Caton-Jones directed all eight episodes.

World Without End will be broadcast on television stations worldwide including Channel 4 in the United Kingdom, Showcase in Canada, and ReelzChannel in the United States.

Thanks for the heads up, petey.

I dumped my satellite a year ago. $66 a month and I only went out of my way to watch one show a week. It wasn't worth it...I was getting milked like a cow.

Do you have a smartphone? I'm debating whether to get one or get left behind.

You can probably download it from Hulu,Netflix,or Amazon.com.

You may even be able to pay per view download it form Reelz.

I sometimes does this and then watch it on my 58 inch plasma tv instead of the computer monitor. Especially if it British shows.

On the off chance you don't know, you can buy a device that will allow you to view shows you download on your computer, and they work pretty damn slick.

I bought the $49.95 Roku first, but then upgaded to a more expensive one because it allowed me to use close-captioned words. My hearing and vision both suck, and the big screen helps and the close-captions really help when there are accents.

Thanks for the info. I know Netflix and Hulu and all the other stuff is making satellite offer $19.95 introductory rates - I see them in the junk mail.

I think my introductory rate was $29.95 about ten years ago. Now if we could get gasoline back down to $0.29 a gallon this country might get back on the right track.

I think my introductory rate was $29.95 about ten years ago.

Direct tv is running a 10 dollar off special now, which means you can get their basic sattelite service for #19.95.

I switched over to Direct tv from Dish Network last month and have the same basic package (225 channesl, showtime, hbo, and one other movie channel) and I'm only paying $64.95 per month the first year.

There is still stuff I want to see that was aired in the past and isn't aired now,so I watch most of it for free from Amazon. I'm a Amazon Prime Customer so I get free shipping on everything they sell, plus free downloads of hundreds of movies and tv shows. Cost $79 bucks a year, and I save more than that on the free shipping when I remodeled my bathroom a couple of months ago.

I even order my Cheerios through Amazon. With the free shipping I save a dollar a box over Food Lion prices. Buy my diabetes test strips there too,and sometimes save half.

Said she nope but I've 'squeezed out' a few that resembled you...

Nope. I've bought all sorts of stuff from amazon, including wheel cylinders for a 1937 International pu for $19.95 each. Including shipping because I'm a Amazon Prime Member. Cheapest I could find them anywhere else was 90 bucks each, and these were ones that had been sitting on a shelf somewhere for 50 years.

I also buy my salt substitute there. Food Lion quit carrying it,and I couldn't find it anywhere local,so I looked it up on Amazon. I got it cheaper there ,including shipping, than the local Food Lion was charging. Yeah,I had to buy 6 shakers at once to get such a great price, but since they don't go bad sitting on the shelf, that's no big deal. I just don't have to buy any more for a year.

Also bought t-shirts,big overalls, tools, computer games, used DVD's,etc, etc, etc. You can even buy meat and other perishable goods from them. Most of the stuff they sell they deliver to your house within 3 business days of the order, but the perishable stuff gets there the next day.

Don't use it on hot dogs or other meats cured with sodium nitrite as it can form salt peter.

Almost every country in the Middle East is awash in oil, and we have to side with the one that has nothing but joos. Goddamn, that was good thinkin'. Esso posted on 2012-01-13 7:37:56 ET

Kiss my ass. I only order cheerios because they have the lowest sugar of any cereal, and I am a diabetic. Apple Jacks are sugar bombs.
