Excellent summary. For a long while, I was one who never questioned the MSM regarding Israel, and IIRC, it was Alex Jones who mentioned USS Liberty, and that started my digging... about five years ago. Learning what I did, I realized that Israel is NOT our "friend," never was, never will be... They're perfectly happy to manipulate things so that they never get their hands dirty, never get held responsible for the results of their own actions. They're users, pure and simple. This, BTW, is exactly why the Israelis attacked the Liberty, jammed the communications and tried to sink her with a torpedo. Bottom line, the Israelis wanted the USA to come to their aid. They wanted (and tried hard) to sink one of our ships before it could call for assistance, and then blame it on Egypt. The only problem was, the ship didn't sink according to their plans, and the excuses and coverups were required. Otherwise, we would have to acknowledge that a supposed "friend" conducted an ACT OF WAR on us, and we'd have to kick their sorry asses... I will not give him any such benefit. He pushes the Israel-first agenda, and pushes a bunch of lies, to further that agenda. He claims intimate knowledge of many things, yet his words demonstrate that he's merely another useless idiot. He doesn't deserve the respect conferred by giving him "the benefit of the doubt," IMO. Instead, he deserves contempt for his willful ignorance. For this, there can be no excuse. Agreed. But stone is no more an American patriot, than Israel is America's friend.

Israel's story is that they thought USS Liberty was an Egyptian ship and therefore a legitimate target of war. Were that true, there would be no reason to attack a supposedly Egyptian ship with unmarked aircraft. The only possible reason to use unmarked aircraft to attack the ship is that Israel knew it was an American ship and intended to sink it, then to blame the attack on Egypt.
I will give you the benefit of the doubt that you have never bothered to investigate the issue and are making your decision based on preconceived notions.
The dead of the USS Liberty deserve better from someone claiming to be a patriot.
