TAMPA, Fla. (JTA) -- Republican senators plan to introduce a non-binding resolution pledging military, economic and diplomatic backing for Israel should it strike Iran. Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-S.C.) told JTA on Tuesday that he and Sen. Mike Johanns (R-Neb.) were drafting the resolution for introduction next month in the Senate. Graham, attending the Republican National Convention in Tampa this week, said he was seeking Democratic co-sponsors. The resolution would underscore the Senate's hopes for peace and for sanctions to force Iran to make its nuclear program more transparent, he said. "But in the event Israel had to take preventive action, we would have their back," Graham said, in terms of military, economic and diplomatic support.

why flimsy graham???....why should the usa taxpayer be having isreals back??? or doing any damn thing for one of these "allies" who have a history of ONLY taking from others. i'm pretty sure i missed seeing any isreal relief showing up after katrina for instance.....and pretty sure isreal missed sending anything off to the japanese tsunami victims either. sheeesh...and the mil indust beat goes on......with enough new sandbox countries forming flimsy and his mittster,boosh,obamunist crew will get over the majic 250 number for counties where the usa has military presence.
