MANCHESTER, NH (CBS) – A man running for sheriff in New Hampshire says if he is elected, he will arrest anyone involved in an abortion in his county.
Frank Szabo set off a firestorm with the comments. People on all sides of the political spectrum have condemned the statements, but Szabo stands by them. He says it’s the sheriff’s job to protect every citizen – even the unborn.

Szabo is running as a Republican for Hillsborough County Sheriff. But he injected a new issue in the debate when he sent out a press release saying he would arrest anyone performing an abortion.
He took it a step further when asked how far he’d go to stop one.
“Deadly force is the last thing law enforcement should be using, if a citizen’s life is in danger they should be protected,” says Szabo. “If there is no other choice, that’s what’s needed to protect the citizen.”
Republicans called Szabo’s statement, “Irresponsible, outrageous, and inappropriate.”
Democrats said, “Every Republican officeholder and candidate in New Hampshire must condemn and reject this man and his beliefs.”
His opponent, current Hillsborough County Sheriff James Hardy says Szbao’s statement could incite violence.
“My opponent wants to substitute his opinions for enforcing the law,” says Sheriff Hardy.
And voters in downtown Manchester seemed surprised abortion was even an issue the sheriff’s race.
“I’m not sure how he feels he can get away with that,” said one woman.
“I think people have strong opinions and it would influence how they vote,” said another woman.
Szabo isn’t backing down.
He says, “Why is there a difference between someone who is 20 years old and their life is in danger and someone who is nine months in utero.”
Szabo will face off against the current sheriff in the Republican primary next month.

AKA, in this country a person is considered innocent until convicted of some crime. Why do you want the sheriff to go around shooting murderers (and alleged ones at that)?
Why do you want the sheriff to go around shooting murderers (and alleged ones at that)? If a cop sees someone trying to kill a baby. The cop is justified in stopping the crime with deadly force. Do you not think that it is a baby they are killing? If you think it is a baby. Do you think cops should stand and watch if a grown woman was being killed. If so why the double standard. Time to stop being PC and putting up with evil. We have a nation to save.
AKA.....exactly how many abortion providers do you think are going to be performing them in front of a cop? Are you proposing that SWAT teams raid hospitals and doctors offices and womens health clinics routinely? Use your brain... A cop sees a doctor standing at the approporiate end of a woman appearing to be doing something and the cop opens fire......turns out the woman is having her annual pelvic exam.......and yes, Planned Parenthood does those, too. And don't ever call into question that I am against abortion. So far as I can tell, it should only be done if the mother's life is truly at stake, i.e., an etopic pregnancy.
The abortion murderers are known. When the sheriff sees them going to the evil butcheres. He will shoot their ass if they try to kill the baby. I don't care if planned parenthood does pelvic exams also. Everyone who works for them should be pun on trial for accessory to mass murder. They should face the death penalty.
So Stone......... should an ectopic pregnancy be aborted?

If Stone breath had to nuke an entire city to stop an abortion, he'd do it. No amount of death is too much to save an ectopic pregnancy when you are as dumb as he is.
Are you proposing there be a cop stationed in every examination room in every doctors office, clinic, or hospital? Does a cop have orders to shoot anyone that enters into a doctors ofice, clinic, or hospital that looks like they are 'an accessory to murder' type person? Does this include killing the mother to be? Should it includee her significant other? Exactly how do you propose to accomplish this? Costs? Invasion of privacy? What mechanisms are available that will determine thoughts, such as 'am I pregnant', or 'do I know what abortion is all about', or I need a prescription refill for birth control pills, or 'I want an abortion? ??????

And don't ever call into question that I am against abortion. So far as I can tell, it should only be done if the mother's life is truly at stake, i.e., an etopic pregnancy.
