As the announcement of Mayer's ascension to the position broke, industry watchers learned that, along with her $1 million per year salary, she will get a $2 million per year cash bonus if the Internet company reaches earnings goals. She will also get $12 million in Yahoo! stock after a three year vestment period not to mention a $30 million one-time award of stock after a five-year vestment. Mayer will also reportedly get a $14 million bonus of stock to make up for compensation she'll lose as a top Google employee. Mayer was one of the earliest employees Google hired. It may be a bit tough for Mayer to realize all these fantastic "one percenter" riches, though. Yahoo! has gone through five chiefs in just the last year as earnings continue to disappoint. As it happens, Mayer is also quite a supporter of Mr. Obama and his Democrat cohorts. A quick search of OpenSecrets.org shows that Mayer has given in excess of $42,000 to such recipients as Barack Obama, the Democratic National Committee, and Maine Senator Olympia Snowe. It's about the nutter making up a bunch of nasty bullshit about a great company and great people. I've been associated with MS since 1993, first as an employee and then as a partner. I make money working with the Microsoft platform. Most of my friends are current or former employers. I'm not going to stand by and let some dim whited kook blather on about Microsoft killing people in the third world. That's what my comment was all about. When it affects my family, friends, and livelihood, it becomes personal.
Hondo and I and others on this forum use Linux. I wouldn't call Hondo a "nutter" as not many (in America) venture outside the Gate's playform (note: not a platform in my opinion) as it requires constant nurturing from many third party software companies milking the daylights out of your pockets /wallet to purchase anti-virus, firewalls, anti-spam, and anti-everything that Gates can not get get quite right with his ever tower of an operating software model that does nothing but drive an issue of how USER FRIENDLY it is. If it is so user friendly, why all the bugs for dis or dat or de oder? It is a primary reason WHY the European Union has sued the crap out of Gates. When someone purchases a hardware platform, they want bullet proof software, too. Such as within GNU software that is based on OPEN INTERNATIONAL STANDARDS not Windows tricks to hoodwink the buyer. I have no problems using Linux. The world has no problems using Linux and as time goes on, the GUI shall become so easy to use that you do not need to do much more but properly choose the software repertory of your software choice which is actually the case today, no matter which Linux GUI you choose. Everything is FREE in Linux and requires little maintenance. Everything is expensive in MS-Windows with almost EVERYDAY maintenance for a new "patch" depending on dis or dat or de oder. And when it comes to Bing (owned by Gates) it uses a similar marketing strategy as Google or Yahoo! ... to monitor your use of the Internet to stimulate sales within a strategic marketing strategy for their advertisers unbeknownst to the end user. Most people that I know use Firefox (not IE) coupled with FREE addons. In IE, most everything (as I said) in Windows stuff is costly. I am happy you found a market for your software skills. Keep making money off of SUCKERS!
AFAIK Bill Gates is retired from MS and not much more involved in day to day operations than Paul Allen, another large stockholder. Melinda & Bill's private org genocidal operations have more to do with them being "green" k00ks than anything involving MS. Save the planet, kill OTHER people! I just want to to say, they set the business model of Microsoft corporation bilking BILLIONS of DOLLARS out of SUCKER'S wallets to repair their computers for a new edition of MS_OS that would fix everything while adding all new features. MSC still practices the black art of charlatan abuse about their customer base to this very day. They are like the US Government with the same stupid idiots that keep voting either a republican/democrat to fix EVERYTHING that are addicted to the US government, introducing "changes" that never fix anything but line the owners of the company with BILLIONS of dollars. It shall never be fixed because the system isn't designed to be be fixed; just empty promises by smiling politicians waving a US flag because it appears they are patriotic.
