Maybe I'm wrong,but even though he had bad health,wasn't the prime reason he bowed out was because his wife's health was failing,and he just didn't have the time and energy to care for her,himself,and still post on the level he had always posted? I didn't always agree with what Pat posted,but he was as thorough and detailed with his posts as anybody I have ever seen. Also,I would like to think he is still in the land of the living,and just taking life easy and enjoying himself. I really liked the guy. Fact is, we're all dying. I really am disappointed that none of us ever got any sort of update on his or his wife's conditions,though. As bad as his own health was,his wife's health was even worse. She was unable to do hardly anything for herself,so he had to quit work and give up a lot to be able to stay at home and care for her. Then his own health went south,making it even harder to care or his wife. It's not hard to understand why he was looking for something to ease his mental and physical burdens,and even if it was nothing but faith it probably helped him make it through the day. I never criticize anyone for grasping at straws.
