Title: Rand Paul to Supreme Court: Drop dead

TheU.S. Supreme Court’s decision Thursday to uphold all but one part of the 2010 healthcare law produced some strong reactions. Supporters declared victory and opponents vowed to keep fighting. That much was to be expected.

But Kentucky Republican Sen. Rand Paul’s rant against the high court’s ruling was a surprise of sorts. The physician-turned-elected-official appeared to suggest that the court needs a legal lesson or two.

“Just because a couple people on the Supreme Court declare something to be ‘constitutional’ does not make it so. The whole thing remains unconstitutional,” Paul said in a statement. “While the court may have erroneously come to the conclusion that the law is allowable, it certainly does nothing to make this mandate or government takeover of our healthcare right.”

The senator is right, of course, about "a couple people" deciding. But in this case, five people, who happen to be justices on the Supreme Court, declared the law constitutional. Those five individuals constitute a majority on the high court and thus are empowered to decide whether something is constitutional or not.

Perhaps Paul’s beef, though, isn’t with this court but with the 209-year-old landmark decision in Marbury vs. Madison that established the basis for judicial review under Article III of the Constitution and cleared the way for federal courts to declare laws unconstitutional.

Either way, Paul's comments were the latest in a week of decisions that sparked spirited public debate. First, Justice Antonin Scalia read his feisty dissent from the majority's opinion that struck down most of Arizona's harsh immigration law, and then a freshman senator declared that just because some people on the Supreme Court weigh in on a legal matter, that doesn’t mean they know what they are doing.

Dammit, don't disturb the sheeple and their latest bleating (romNEE! romNEE! romNEE!)

Don't worry, luberator will be along shortly, to discuss how the two-party charade is REAL (like pro-wrestling), and how they "care" about us, as the "President and Congress and government make THOUSANDS of decisions involving hundreds of thousands issues ..."

And yeah, luberator really DID say that... (LMAO!)

What EEEEEDIOTS!!!!!!!

Thanks for leaving out all the context to the quote, you phony three-dollar bill.

Lol - "luberator"?

When you begin posting multiple byteshredder-sized graphics while aping the name-calling "wit" of a yu-klown, you've already lost the debate and ANY credibility you never had to begin with.

It's a LOSE-LOSE for you.

luberator: Thanks for leaving out all the context to the quote, you phony three-dollar bill.

The context is clear: you're an ignorant sheep, licking the boots of your masters. That you've been dropped (repeatedly) on your head as a child could also be extrapolated from the sheer stupidity of your posts.

As I said before, you think that by virtue of the fact that you have a keyboard to post your "thoughts," that those thoughts are automatically true. Nothing could be further from the truth. Indeed, the fact that your responses are generally limited to whatever propaganda the MSM happens to be pushing, your thoughts are no more your own, than this forum.

When you begin posting multiple byteshredder-sized graphics while aping the name-calling "wit" of a yu-klown, you've already lost the debate and ANY credibility you never had to begin with.

You attempt to lecture ME on credibility?

Given your inability to string logical sentences together, it's highly doubtful you ever made it past high-school. What, you a GED kid??? Bribe the proctor?

Where you attempt to denigrate my "wit," you really have no basis of comparison, to determine where I fall on the Bell-curve... So to clarify, I'm a fucking genius. Literally.

Somehow, I doubt Mensa (or any other organization made up of highly intelligent people) will extend any invitations to you, buckwheat...

It's a LOSE-LOSE for you.

Ahh, that's called "projection." I understand that for a complete loser such as yourself, you just automatically assume that everyone else is as much of a loser as you are...

So EVERYTHING looks like a "LOSE-LOSE" to you...

To paraphrase John Candy, you wouldn't know a win if it fell out of the sky, landed on your face, and started to wiggle.

Thanks for the laughs, loser.

A little hint erica, it NEVER works out to your advantage when you claim to be a "genius" and then try to BRAG about MENSA inviting you to join.

MENSA invites EVERYBODY to join them erica.

LOL!

So what?

(btw erica; Yes they did erica. But I said no thanks.)

So WHAT?

Then in supposed support of your earth shaking revelation you quote john CANDY?

LOL!

Gud one MENSA gurl!

LOL!

Btw erica, EVERYBODY is NOT playing the same "game". I'm surprised that a MENSA gurl such as you missed this obvious point. Not everyone agrees on what success is erica. What you call success others might call enslavement and vice versa.

Bottom line erica, you sure are INSECURE about your own value.

Why is that erica?

What makes erica cry?

MENSA not asking her to join?

I'm so confused. /S

LMAOAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The odd thing about so-called "geniuses" with high IQs...is that they are far more apt to lack the necessary social skills, common sense and humor to understand most people....AND jokes.

LOL!

By that metric erica sure appears to be MENSA material!

Talk about a no humor SOB!

I'm hardly the one to critique anybody else's social skills, so I won't.

LOL!
