I agree, we must present the Gospel with the Love of Christ. As Liberator will no doubt point out, many have on both this site and others tried that route with homosexuals presenting them the Gospel with kindness and gentleness. In every experience it is rejected with the same angry zeal you see in the photos you posted. Yet our commission is to present the Gospel with the Love of Christ. If the gentle approach does not work, then the focus shifts to warning them of the coming Judgment and how we do not want to see that happen to them, there is a Way and through Jesus Christ a life will be transformed no matter how bad. If the fire and brimstone does not work in witnessing, then you try one more time with the Love of Christ. If unsuccessful, as is usually the case, you need to part company in my opinion, point out the Gospel was presented and rejected by the person and move on. I had to do that with the meguro guy over on LP. Discussions were getting heated and was not going to let him drag me down to cyber fist fight. So he is on bozo and perhaps my silence will make him think, so I pray. From my foxhole, homosexuals are trapped in their sin and their only hope is Christ. Given Gary is probably elder to most of us, I added him to this discussion to enlighten us on his experiences with witnessing to homosexuals. He shared some insights a few months ago with me, but I won't post them unless he is willing to share with the larger group. God Bless RLH
AKA, I can only add my disappointment for the headline displayed. I was really hopeful that LF would be a cut above some other sites...and you're the owner here! I reckon I'm gonna have to sic the Holy Spirit on you boy! You know I care for you from past experiences and this is not from some need to pile on. Seriously, Liberator was correct to bring it up, and TC to talk of the reflection it shows of the site....surely LF needs to grow. And it could if there were some more positives. For myself, I decided to leave the internet world for a tad over 3 years because of how I, a Christian, a small part of the reasoning bing I was starting to take on the angst and actions of the fleshly masses. I didn't like myself, so I know God really must have despised me. Addressing the issue of homosexuals, surely we see Romans 1:18 - 32 in play and it isn't just homosexuality...but those aren't this thread.
First I would like to say I applaud Stonie for allowing such a refuge to post on. I would humbly admit that the title of this thread be changed to "a picture is worth a 1000 words" or something like that. The pictures tell the story. Many have posted here either ignoring the title or dismissing it. However, homosexuals no matter how vile they can be towards Christians need our prayers and compassion. It is only when they start preaching their "message" that we need to confront and present the Truth a bit firmer. Second, rowdee, anytime you want to "rap" about how God took you outside to the wood shed to put you back on the straight and narrow, I am game. I will tell you my story as well.
