March 22: Gov. Rick Scott appoints Angela Corey as special prosecutor to determine if George Zimmerman should be charged.
SANFORD, Fla. -
The dean of Harvard law is saying that the special prosecutor in the case of George Zimmerman, the neighborhood watchman who shot and killed 17-year-old Trayvon Martin, has threatened to sue the school for comments a professor made about the case.
In a story professor Alan Dershowitz published on Newsmax, he said State Attorney Angela Corey called Harvard University, threatening to sue the school because of comments he made on the case.
According to Dershowitz's article, Corey accused him of slander and libel.
Dershowitz has criticized Corey's handling of the Zimmerman case on national television.
Zimmerman has pleaded not guilty to second-degree murder for the February shooting. He says he shot Martin in self-defense because the unarmed 17-year-old was beating him up after confronting Zimmerman about following him in a gated community outside Orlando.
