Mitt Romney wants a warmonger and war criminal as his vice president – somebody just like Dick Cheney. But then professional teleprompter readers will say just about anything to get elected. “The event will help the likely Republican nominee tap any donors to former President George W. Bush who remain on the sidelines, while fueling Democratic efforts to tie Mr. Romney to President Barack Obama’s predecessor,” writes the newspaper. In short, Romney is attempting to draw in the neocons and their supporters. Democrats may have a field day linking Romney to the Bush-era warmongers, but then they would be hypocrites to do so – Obama has continued Bush’s legacy and has expanded the phony war on terror, including partaking in the unconstitutional invasion of Libya with NATO that resulted in the murder of around 30,000 people in the north African nation. The Obama administration is now preparing further murder and carnage in Syria and Iran, two nations that figure prominently in the neocon playbook. If elected, Romney will pick up where Obama left off and the agenda will move seamlessly forward despite what a gaggle of partisan Democrats have to say about it. According to the War Street Journal, Romney “has tapped a number of former Bush administration officials as his advisers,” in other words the neocon crowd responsible for killing well over a million people in Iraq and turning Afghanistan into a bloody and expensive hellhole. “Jackson Hole is a beautiful summer destination and this will be a memorable event,” a member of the Romney finance team wrote in an email. “We hope that you and your friends will be able to join us.” Translation: Jackson Hole will be a destination for the clash of civilizations gang this summer as they figure out how to best play the game of musical chairs quaintly called elections and get one of their own back in the White House. Not that it matters. War and mass murder will continue regardless of who gets in the White House – unless that somebody is Ron Paul.
Cheney and his wife will host a July fund-raiser for Romney at their home in Jackson Hole, Wyoming, according to an email from the Romney campaign, the Wall Street Journal reports today.
