Obama Signs Executive Order Declaring International Regulations for the US Tim Brown
Barack Obama has signed another executive order as of May 1, 2012 in which is designed to standardize regulations between the United States and it’s so called trading partners. These regulations amount to nothing short of international law, as that is what regulations are.
This EO is closely ties with EO13563 and EO12866. This executive order states:
“(a) if required to submit a Regulatory Plan pursuant to Executive Order 12866, include in that plan a summary of its international regulatory cooperation activities that are reasonably anticipated to lead to significant regulations, with an explanation of how these activities advance the purposes of Executive Order 13563 and this order;”
In case you are wondering the definition of “international regulatory cooperation” is:”(c) “International regulatory cooperation” refers to a bilateral, regional, or multilateral process, other than processes that are covered by section 6(a)(ii), (iii), and (v) of this order, in which national governments engage in various forms of collaboration and communication with respect to regulations, in particular a process that is reasonably anticipated to lead to the development of significant regulations.”
Why on earth would the United States submit a regulatory Plan for “significant regulations” to any international body? What business is it of any other nations how the United States conducts its own activities? The reality is that it is no one’s business but our own.
However, we have so courted the United Nations and so put our nose in other people’s business that this just seems to be the status quo.
We the people need to know what our government is doing on our behalf, and it behooves us as Americans to see exactly what is taking place.
It is questionable that to have such international regulations, or laws, does set us up for enforcement of those laws by the international community. We don’t like to think about that, but it has definitely happened in many nations in the past few decades.
This is just more evidence of Barack Obama wanting to “change” America from a sovereign nation to a third world country in which he ignores the Constitution and seeks to bring the United States under the banner of International Law. It is also evidence that he is willing to sign such an executive order without going through the legislative branch, Congress, which he has shown an extreme contempt for.
