Title: Christie: Romney ‘Might Be Able To Convince Me’ To Be VP

New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie (R) on Monday said that he could be persuaded to accept the job of vice president because presumptive Republican presidential nominee Mitt Romney is “a convincing guy.”

“I really have no interest in being vice president, but if Gov. Romney called and asked me to sit down and talk to him about it, I’d listen because I think you owe the nominee, your party that level of respect — and who knows what he’s going to say?” Christie told a crowd of students at West Windsor-Plainsboro High School North, according to the New Jersey Star-Ledger.

“He might be able to convince me, he’s a convincing guy,” he said, adding, “Do I really look like the vice presidential type? Sitting behind him at the state of the union [applauding]? I don’t really think that’s me.”

In an interview last year, Romney told NBC’s Jamie Gangel that Christie would be on his short list for vice presidential running mate.

“Of course he would be on anyone’s short list,” Romney said. “He could take himself off the list and say, no way, he’d have no interest. But the truth is that Gov. Christie is one of the leading figures in the Republican Party and of course, anyone who becomes our nominee is going to look at Gov. Christie and say, ‘That would be a terrific person to have on the ticket.’”

Christie has joked that the former Massachusetts governor “would probably want to get a food taster” if he were vice president.

Is that supposed to be funny? That was the lamest comic I've seen in ages. The author must be a queer. Seems to have a hang up on it.

I'm going to go with the one on the right since it appears to be the lesser of the two weevils. Of course I tend to vote right wing so that isn't a surprise. I just hope they don't accuse me of being a racist for not picking the black weevil.

Will challenge activist judiciary? N, Obama

That's a lie, he's already publicly challenged the supreme court to be even more activist.

I'm originally from New England, Connecticut to be exact. Ms. Warren will make a fine senator for the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.
