***Warning: This article will contain some pretty ugly language and evoke some disquieting images*** Ted Nugent endorsed Mitt Romney. Mitt Romney's oldest son, Tagg, got very excited about this and posted the following via Twitter: "Ted Nugent endorsed my Dad today. Ted Nugent? How cool is that?! He joins Kid Rock as great Detroit musicians on team Mitt!" Nugent has, of course, been the center of quite a bit of attention recently for what he said about Barack Obama and Democrats at the recent NRA convention. This has been well publicized and I won't repeat that story here. Before Nugent's eruption at the NRA convention, candidate Mitt Romney had this to say: "It's been fun getting to know Ted Nugent." All Mitt Romney could say when told what Nugent had said at the NRA convention was this: "Divisive language is offensive no matter what side of the political aisle it comes from. Mitt Romney believes everyone needs to be civil." How weak! How Romneyesque! But what's interesting is that Mitt Romney sought Ted Nugent's endorsement even before the NRA convention craziness. After all, Ted Nugent is a self-confessed draft dodger. Oh, sure, he denied that he was telling the truth back in 1977 when interviewed by High Times. But his Selective Service records are consistent with what Nugent said himself. Here is the relevant portion of the interview from the October, 1977, edition of High Times as provided by a reporter who still had a copy in his archives: "High Times: How did you get out of the draft?

Liberals ran the underground railroad, Southern conservatives became Democrats following the Civil War because they were pissed off at the Republican president who freed their slaves (sore losers). Later, after a Democrat president signed into law legislation guaranteeing full civil rights to blacks with all the protections given to citizens, southern Democrats switched back to the Republican party cause now they are pissed off at Democrats. The issue is... would these types of attacks come if this were a Democrat conscientious objector supporting a Democrat candidate? I fully agree with you. The way the USA has played with an all volunteer military is based on nothing more than hiring a pile of reckless lamebrains that are nothing more than scoundrels to making a few bucks as opposed to loyalists towards the effort. In fact, the USA fully encourages illegal aliens to join the military forces in order to receive various benefits of citizenship to include voting. These wars around the planet are not necessary other than political meddling and a show of "power." It is an outrage!

The only viable candidate for me right now is Ron Paul. Unfortunately, he is not viable to the leftist RNC and the lemmings willing to follow it. We do agree here if I read your post correctly. But that's no surprise, we have agreed on many issues in the past. I'm at a loss though at the voices chiming in here in support of conscription. I cannot agree on ceding the personal freedom to decide whether or not to go to war and transferring that to government. I also fail to see how ceding that power to government would make it more accountable.
I care don't for his take on those collectives called corporations that are given their very existence by governments, having the same rights of free speech as living, breathing, individual citizens given those rights by God.

I'll go even one further. If I had known that my governments plan in Afghanistan was to engage in endless nation building I wouldn't have supported that mission either. I wanted our forces to decimate the Taliban and al Qaeda and come home.
I've been donating money and time to Dr. Paul and I am disappointed more people don't see what good sense he makes. From the looks of things, I won't be voting in the presidential race this year. Obama fooled me once, but this won't happen again. And Mitt is just the Republican power elite's new errand boy and I am tired of GOP tools too.
We're in the same boat. I can't vote for either but I feel a duty to vote. What's a guy to do? I've considered Goode, but not sure I can vote for him either. What do you do if there simply isn't a candidate that a man can vote for in good conscience? Maybe this is why the majority doesn't vote at all.
I went back in the Army intending to stay in for 20. Going to Panama was eye opening for me. I was able to get out after my change of heart easier then most as I was a National Guardsman attached to an active army component and was at the point one gets to with an MOS the component the Army is critically short in where I was to decide to go laterally back into RA status and bite the bullet for the temporary cut in pay grade which is the worst part of that particular rite of passage, or I was to go back to my Special Forces National Guard unit to resume being a part timer. Looking back, I am at peace with myself for what I feel was the right decision to make. I don't think going to more wars was a sane thing to do. Going into the civilian contractor game would of made me good money, but I am not the sort of man who just does things based on how much cash it will get me.
To me the deal breaker for Ron Paul is his support of the Citizen's United decision. I love his foreign policy stance but since he wants to allow corporations even more power I don't see how he will prevail, especially when making war toys is so profitable.
