Vicomte13, the most reasonable and intelligent poster at LibertyPost gives a very common sense explanation of this Williams/Zimmermann thing (post 29 and 34) and that idiot liberator has the most retarded observations and questions.
Liberator isn't even capable of understanding what Vicomte13 wrote (obviously) so should just keep his mouth shut. But he's always looking to boost his 'street cred' on the internet and he can't resist making it look like he's on Vicomte13's level by questioning him ... though only on peripheral issues so he doesn't actually have to understand anything.

Not to make a big thing of it but the laws are in many ways stricter for police than for civilians. Pretty uniformly, police are required to apprehend even at risk to themselves. Civilians have a broader right to self-defense, nor do they have a duty to retreat in ~21 states (stand-your-ground). I'm just saying, the laws are not exactly the same. Police often have a higher duty to avoid injuring or killing suspects or even assailants. OTOH, the laws may be stricter for cops but finding a prosecutor/court/jury willing to prosecute even serious misconduct is increasingly rare. A lot easier to prosecute the civilian for minor offenses than the cop for gross offenses (tasering old people in wheelchairs to death, driving drunk @ 143mph, etc.).
I see you had some admirers here a while back. I'll note again, Stone, this kind of thing is destructive to your forum long-term. Even complete trolls like the Canary Posse shouldn't be given this kind of billing on your site. It drags down everything else your site is and can be. It's too bad that you don't have a Biker Bar here like LP used to have. The way LP is now, Biker Bar is a bad idea there too. Biker Bar, in the old days at LP, never showed up in your main news sidebar. If you wanted to look at food fights or cross-forum squabbles, you had to go into the Biker Bar to look for them. And they didn't show up on the main forum's sidebar(s). They did still get some exposure in the Latest Comments list anyway. This kind of thing can take over your forum, making it more food fight than news site. LP has the same problem. 4um is overall more peaceful because you don't see much of it there, I have to assume christine put her foot down because 4um folk aren't any more polite than the rest of the forums. It comes down to moderator policy, what they'll put up with, where they want their site to go. I kind of doubt that Vicomte appreciates being discussed behind his back like this. No one would.
