PAPER: CHINA SUB STALKS USS KITTY HAWK
Poster Comment:
So China is stalking our sub. Interesting. China is the biggest foreign threat we face. We should all remember when we buy Chinese we are supplying our enemy with cash for weapons.
FRANKFURT, Germany (AP) -- The euro continued to edge up slightly against the U.S. dollar on Monday as traders mulled comments by People's Bank of China Governor Zhou Xiaochuan that it would diversify some of its US$1 trillion in reserves. But analysts said the talk was not something that would cause the dollar to careen because central banks worldwide had been saying similar things and that Zhou's remarks Friday were not new, but instead a confirmation of the plan. In morning trading, the 12-nation euro bought US$1.2857, up from US$1.2847 late Friday in New York. Among other currencies, the British pound rose to US$1.9122 from US$1.9113 while the dollar was down slightly to purchase 117.41 Japanese yen from 117.62 yen.
