And Here's the Dis connect....;}:

hipcrime.blogspot.com/201...ap-resources-is-over.html

per the BBC (VIDEO):

"

But the era of abundant cheap resources is drawing to an end, for reasons equally straightforward.

The global population currently stands at seven billion people, and is predicted to rise to more than nine billion by 2050 - that's roughly the population of the UK being added to the planet every year.

More importantly, there could be up to three billion new middle-class consumers, mainly in China and India, according to McKinsey. They will drive demand for meat, consumer goods and urban infrastructure, not to mention the energy needed to produce them, to levels unheard of in human history. For example, McKinsey expects the number of cars in the world to double by 2030.

And while demand for resources from an exploding and wealthier population soars, finding and extracting new sources of supply is becoming increasingly difficult and expensive.

For example, oil companies have to look further and drill deeper to find dwindling reserves of oil, meaning the cost of an average well has doubled in the past ten years, while new mining discoveries have been largely flat despite a fourfold increase in exploration costs.

The discovery of shale gas could have a major impact on meeting global energy needs in the decades to come, but as Laszlo Varro, head of gas, coal and power markets at the International Energy Agency, says, just burning current reserves of fossil fuels using existing technologies would create enough carbon dioxide "to boil the planet several times over".

Yes, the resources from now on will be expensive, but for NONE of the Reasons offered above.....".

Ex....Pop, cars and prosperity from Chindia....None of that will be around in 10 years.

Environmentalism is not just a career move. As Paul Sears warned 40 years ago, “Ecology is a subversive subject,” because ecology will demand that we completely re-evaluate our assumptions. We need ecological leaders who understand ecology and biophysical laws, and who feel a deep, sacred respect for Nature itself.

" A lone, psychopathic killer views himself as a self-contained society of one; therefore, he feels accountable to no one outside of himself…

He is a freelancer (a mirror image of the lawless state itself) who has assumed the murderous agency of state power.

No wonder, we, as a people, so greatly exaggerate the danger these extreme cases pose to us on a collective basis — no wonder we insist that the most punitive forms of punishment be inflicted upon individuals afflicted with these rare afflictions…that they be locked away in the most secure prisons and executed with utmost expediency…

for if we gazed upon them for any length of time, we would notice affinities of mind and action — their violent, reprehensible deeds are microcosmic representations of official state policy and cultural norms.

Therefore, we clear these overt monsters from sight, lest we awaken to ourselves — to the casual and mundane monstrosities required to adapt to this prison of the criminally insane we know as daily existence within late capitalist empire.

The further one afflicted withdraws from the world…the larger his fears will loom. Isolation causes the mind to become a self-resonating feedback loop of self-referential fear (e.g., an encampment of peace resisters must be met with violent force to preserve the health of the state’s social order).

The nature of the Syrian crisis has changed. The process of destabilization that was to open the path for legal military intervention by the Atlantic Alliance has failed. The ELite have always used war as the Final Solution.

The problem for them this time is that the Final Solution will never have a weak vanquished opponent on the other side.

Washington must be pretending not to have noticed that the Russia of Vladimir Putin is not that of Boris Yeltsin. After being assured of Chinese support, Moscow literally fired two warning shots in the direction of Washington. The continuing violations of international law by NATO and the GCC threaten to unleash a global conflict.

What is actually at stake in Syria is not whether Bashar al-Assad will be able to democratize the institutions he has inherited or whether the Wahhabist monarchies of the Gulf will succeed in destroying the last secular regime in the region and impose their sectarianism, but to determine the lines of separation between the emerging power blocs of NATO (the North Atlantic Treaty Organization) and the SCO (Shanghai Cooperation Organization)

Positioning himself as a peacemaker confronting NATO warmongering, Vladimir Putin has demanded that the CSTO (Collective Security Treaty Organization) ready itself to deploy its “blue chapkas” in Syria, to both separate the belligerents and combat foreign forces. Nicolai Bordyuzha, secretary-general of the CSTO, has confirmed that he is ready to deploy 20,000 men trained for this type of mission and immediately available 6.

This would be the first time that the CSTO deploys a peace force outside of former Soviet territory. Cut to the quick, Ban Ki-Moon attempted to sabotage the initiative, countering with his own sudden effort to organize a Contact Group. Convening in Washington the Sanctions Working Group of the Friends Of Syria Conference, Secretary of State Hillary Clinton defied the Russian proposal and raised the ante in favor of regime change 7.

The president’s directive reinforced the need for caution, counterterrorism officials said, but did not significantly change the program. In part, that is because “the protection of innocent life was always a critical consideration,” said Michael V. Hayden, the last C.I.A. director under President George W. Bush.

It is also because Mr. Obama embraced a disputed method for counting civilian casualties that did little to box him in. It in effect counts all military-age males in a strike zone as combatants, according to several administration officials, unless there is explicit intelligence posthumously proving them innocent.

The Bankia collapse has angered the rest of Europe’s elite. Just when they thought they had succeeded in convincing people to forget that this was a crisis of private bank debts and insolvency, caused by bankers, and to think instead that the whole problem was a Sovereign debt crisis caused by greedy citizens, along comes Bankia to remind people, in a most unhelpful fashion, that, at root, this is a PRIVATE BANK CRISIS. A crisis of private loans and private debts, created by bankers at private banks for their private clients. Particularly in Spain this crisis is not one of Public debt.

There's nothing new about the right way to restructure a bankrupt company; it's been done a million times. But it's done not this time, not in Europe and not in the US. As a result, the whole banking system is now a $1 quadrillion zombie system, held up by zombie money that is injected into it in our name, no matter that if we don't have it. And our grandchildren will be born with a million dollars or so each in debt right from the get-go. And we’ll tell them we love them, and believe ourselves when we say it....

All of which is why maybe we should look forward to a Syriza victory in the Greek elections, or to Finland leaving the Eurozone. Just so the idiot emperors and the idiot clothes they don't wear are revealed as the zombies they are.

The banks that are kept alive with the zombie money will use it to do what they will - rightfully, in the present economic model - see as the most profitable thing to do: bet against, and ultimately bring down, the very system that has "saved" them. This is how perverted the entire scheme has become. The money taken from you by your "leaders" will be, and already is, used to bring you to your knees.

It’s sort of like one of those autoimmune diseases, where the body attacks and kills itself, using its own defenses, isn't it, a kind of zombie disease? Then again, at least we seek to cure those .....

Finance channels are saturated, debt is unproductive. All new debts taken on are to service old debts rather than afford goods and services. Debts are ‘dead money’: the only way to retire them are by way of Ponzi schemes and loan-shark lending. Borrowers cannot find lenders because all sources have been tapped already. Lenders cannot find creditable borrowers. This was the entire point of globalization, to tap all sources of world capital, benefits lasted only until global demand for capital ballooned to consume it.

Arctic passes 400 ppm CO2....never mind about Climate Change....nothing to be done now....;}

Recently, the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration predicted that this summer would be consistent with this past winter that wasn’t — that is, hot. I double-checked by looking at the data from the Arctic. As expected, ice melt was accelerating faster than average.

A few days after that confirming data came through, Jon Gottschalck, head of operations of NOAA’s Climate Prediction Center, said, “There’s definitely a tilt toward being above normal (temperatures) through the summer.” Records we don’t want to break

From other NOAA agencies came the conclusions that last year the United States underwent the hottest 12-month period ever recorded. This continued through the first four months of this year, clocking in the period of May 2011 through April 2012 as the warmest on record. Another record continued to be broken also — For 326 months in a row the monthly temperatures have been hotter than the entire 20th century average. That’s almost 28 years of data.

Stop bailing out banks 2012

June 8 by Ian Welsh

The correct thing to do is to force them to take their losses, making the shareholders and bondholders eat it.

Kick out the management

(Arrest them for Fraud), cut the banks up into smaller entities then refloat.

It is cheaper, avoids moral hazard and leaves you with banks which are actually solvent and can lend.

The lengths to which we will go to avoid doing the right, smart, obvious thing are astonishing.

What Jesus said was, "Nicodemus, marvel not that I said unto thee, all of you need to be born again." This is very important. Not only Nicodemus needed to be saved. But everybody, including him, needed to be born again. That's why Jesus used the plural. www.chick.com/ask/articles/nkjv.asp
