The happiest day in the Michigan State football program was when John L. left. Nice and decent fellow but lousy coach while at MSU.
Never swear "allegiance" to anything other than the 'right to change your mind'! I really didn't pay attention to John L. after he departed but your comments stir up some vague memories of his time at MSU. With such a common name it's easy to remember his with the unique middle initial added.
